And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea; for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and offered no tribute to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.

And the kingª of Assyriaª foundª° conspiracyª in Hoshea:ª for he had sentª° messengersª to¹ Soª kingª of Egypt,ª and broughtª° no¹ presentª to the kingª of Assyria,ª as [he had done] yearª by year:ª therefore the kingª of Assyriaª shut him up,ª° and boundª° him in prison.ªª

And the king of the Assyrians found iniquity in Hosea{gr.Osee}, in that he sent messengers to Zoar{gr.Segor} king of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and brought not a tribute to the king of the Assyrians in that year: and the king of the Assyrians besieged him, and bound him in the prison-house.

And the kingª of ´Aššûr אַשּׁוּרª foundª° conspiracyª in Hôšëå` הוֹשֵׁעַ:ª for he had sentª° messengersª to¹ Sô´ סוֹאª kingª of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם,ª and broughtª° no¹ presentª to the kingª of ´Aššûr אַשּׁוּר,ª as [he had done] yearª by year:ª therefore the kingª of ´Aššûr אַשּׁוּרª shut him up,ª° and boundª° him in prison.ªª
