And the children of Israel did secretly things that were not right against Jehovah their God: and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fortified city;

And the childrenª of Israelª did secretlyª° [those] thingsª that¹ [were] not¹ right¹ against¹ the LORDª their God,ª and they builtª° them high placesª in all¹ their cities,ª from the towerª¹ of the watchmenª° to¹ the fencedª city.ª

and [in those] of the children of Israel as many as secretly practised customs, not as [they should have done], against the Lord their God:

And the childrenª of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלª did secretlyª° [those] thingsª that¹ [were] not¹ right¹ against¹ Yähwè יָהוֶהª their ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים,ª and they builtª° them high placesª in all¹ their cities,ª from the towerª¹ of the watchmenª° to¹ the fencedª city.ª
