Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath Jehovah chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.

Then¹ Davidª said,ª° None¹ ought to carryª°¹ the arkª of Godª but¹¹ the Levites:ª for¹ them hath the LORDª chosenª° to carryª°¹ the arkª of God,ª and to ministerª° unto him for² ever.ª¹

Then¹ Dauidª sayd,ª° None¹ ought to carieª°¹ the Arkeª of God,ª but¹¹ the Leuites:ª for¹ them hath the LORDª chosenª° to caryª°¹ the Arkeª of God,ª and to ministerª° vnto him for² euer.ª¹

Then said David, It is not [lawful for any] to bear the ark of God, but the Levites; for the Lord has chosen them to bear the ark of the Lord, and to minister to him for ever.

Then¹ Däwiđ דָּוִדª said,ª° None¹ ought to carryª°¹ the arkª of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםª but¹¹ the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם:ª for¹ them hath Yähwè יָהוֶהª chosenª° to carryª°¹ the arkª of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים,ª and to ministerª° unto him for² ever.ª¹
