And David said, I will show kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father showed kindness to me. So David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon to Hanun, to comfort him.

And Davidª said,ª° I will shewª° kindnessª unto¹ Hanunª the sonª of Nahash,ª because¹ his fatherª shewedª° kindnessª to¹ me. And Davidª sentª° messengersª to comfortª° him concerning¹ his father.ª So the servantsª of Davidª cameª° into¹ the landª of the childrenª of Ammonª to¹ Hanun,ª to comfortª° him.

And Dauidª sayde,ª° I will sheweª° kindnesseª vnto¹ Hanunª the sonneª of Nahash,ª because¹ his fatherª shewedª° kindnesseª to¹ mee. And Dauidª sentª° messengersª to comfortª° him concerning¹ his father.ª So the seruantsª of Dauidª cameª° into¹ the landª of the childrenª of Ammon,ª to¹ Hanun,ª to comfortª° him.

And David said, I will act kindly toward Hanan{gr.Anan} the son of Nahash{gr.Naas}, as his father acted kindly towards me. And David sent messengers to condole with him on the death of his father. So the servants of David came into the land of the children of Ammon to Hanan{gr.Anan}, to comfort him.

And Däwiđ דָּוִדª said,ª° I will shewª° kindnessª unto¹ Çänûn חָנוּןª the sonª of Näçäš נָחָשׁ,ª because¹ his fatherª shewedª° kindnessª to¹ me. And Däwiđ דָּוִדª sentª° messengersª to comfortª° him concerning¹ his father.ª So the servantsª of Däwiđ דָּוִדª cameª° into¹ the landª of the childrenª of `Ammôn עַמּוֹןª to¹ Çänûn חָנוּן,ª to comfortª° him.
