And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,

And there cameª° a writingª to¹ him from Elijahª¹ the prophet,ª saying,ª° Thus¹ saithª° the LORDª Godª of Davidª thy father,ª Because¹¹ thou hast not¹ walkedª° in the waysª of Jehoshaphatª thy father,ª nor in the waysª of Asaª kingª of Judah,ª

And there cameª° a writingª to¹ him from Eliiahª¹ the Prophet,ª saying,ª° Thus¹ saithª° the LORDª Godª of Dauidª thy father,ª Because¹¹ thou hast not¹ walkedª° in the wayesª of Iehoshaphatª thy father,ª nor in the wayesª of Asaª kingª of Iudah:ª

And there came to him [a message] in writing from Elijah{gr.Eliu} the prophet, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of thy father David, Because thou hast not walked in the way of thy father Jehoshaphat{gr.Josaphat}, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah{gr.Juda},

And there cameª° a writingª to¹ him from ´Ëliyyà אֵלִיָּהª¹ the prophet,ª saying,ª° Thus¹ saithª° Yähwè יָהוֶהª ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםª of Däwiđ דָּוִדª thy father,ª Because¹¹ thou hast not¹ walkedª° in the waysª of Yæhôšäfäţ יְהוֹשָׁפָטª thy father,ª nor in the waysª of ´Äsä´ אָסָאª kingª of Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה,ª
