For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it is written. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, The good Jehovah pardon every one

For¹ a multitudeª of the people,ª [even] manyª of Ephraim,ª¹ and Manasseh,ª Issachar,ª and Zebulun,ª had notª cleansed²° themselves,¹ yet¹ did they eatª°¹ the passoverª otherwise¹ than it was written.ª° But¹ Hezekiahª prayedª° for¹ them, saying,ª° The goodª LORDª pardonª° every one¹

For the greatest part of the people of Ephraim, and Manasseh{gr.Manasse}, and Issachar, and Zebulun{gr.Zabulon}, had not purified [themselves], but ate the passover contrary to the scripture. On this account also Hezekiah{gr.Ezekias} prayed concerning them, saying,

For¹ a multitudeª of the people,ª [even] manyª of ´Efrayim אֶפרַיִם,ª¹ and Mænaššè מְנַשֶּׁה,ª Yiŝŝäjȼär יִשָּׂשכָר,ª and Zævûlûn זְבוּלוּן,ª had notª cleansed²° themselves,¹ yet¹ did they eatª°¹ the passoverª otherwise¹ than it was written.ª° But¹ Çizkiyyà חִזקִיָּהª prayedª° for¹ them, saying,ª° The goodª Yähwè יָהוֶהª pardonª° every one¹
