But he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had made known to him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.

And he thoughtª scornª° to layª° handsª on Mordecaiª alone;¹ for¹ they had shewedª° him¹ the peopleª of Mordecai:ª wherefore Hamanª soughtª° to destroyª°¹ all¹ the Jewsª that¹ [were] throughout the whole¹ kingdomª of Ahasuerus,ª [even] the peopleª of Mordecai.ª

And hee thoughtª scorneª° to layª° handsª on Mordecaiª alone,¹ for¹ they had shewedª° him¹ the peopleª of Mordecai:ª wherefore Hamanª soughtª° to destroyª°¹ all¹ the Iewes,ª that¹ [were] throughout the whole¹ kingdomeª of Ahasuerus,ª euen the peopleª of Mordecai.ª

and took counsel to destroy utterly all the Jews who were under the rule of Artaxerxes.

And he thoughtª scornª° to layª° handsª on Mordóȼay מָרדֳּכַיª alone;¹ for¹ they had shewedª° him¹ the peopleª of Mordóȼay מָרדֳּכַי:ª wherefore Hämän הָמָןª soughtª° to destroyª°¹ all¹ the Yæhûđîm יְהוּדִיםª that¹ [were] throughout the whole¹ kingdomª of ´Áçašwërôš אֲחַשׁוֵרוֹשׁ,ª [even] the peopleª of Mordóȼay מָרדֳּכַי.ª
