Now therefore hear this, thou that art given to pleasures, that sittest securely, that sayest in thy heart, I am, and there is none else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:

Therefore hearª° now¹ this,¹ [thou that art] given to pleasures,ª that dwellestª° carelessly,ª that sayestª° in thine heart,ª I¹ [am], and none else² beside¹¹ me; I shall not¹ sitª° [as] a widow,ª neither¹ shall I knowª° the loss of children:ª

But now hear these words, thou luxurious one, [who art] the one that sits [at ease], that is secure, that says in her heart, I am, and there is not another; I shall not sit a widow, neither shall I know bereavement.
