But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

But if¹ ye will not¹ hearkenª° unto¹ me to hallowª°¹ the sabbathª day,ª and not¹ to bearª° a burden,ª even entering¹ in²° at the gatesª of Jerusalemª on the sabbathª day;ª then will I kindleª° a fireª in the gatesª thereof, and it shall devourª° the palacesª of Jerusalem,ª and it shall not¹ be quenched.ª°
