Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;

Thus¹ saithª° the Lordª GOD,ª Because that¹ Edomª hath dealtª° against the houseª of Iudahª by takingª° vengeance,ª and hath greatly²° offended,ª° and reuenged²° himselfe¹ vpon them:

Thus saith the Lord; Because of what the Edomites{gr.Idumeans} have done in taking vengeance on the house of Judah{gr.Juda}, and [because they] have remembered injuries, and have exacted full recompense;

Thus¹ saithª° ´Áđönäy אֲדֹנָיª Yähwè יָהוֶה;ª Because that¹ ´Éđôm אֱדוֹםª hath dealtª° against the houseª of Yæhûđà יְהוּדָהª by takingª° vengeance,ª and hath greatly²° offended,ª° and revenged²° himself¹ upon them;
