And he made proclamation and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; let them not feed, nor drink water;

And he caused [it] to be proclaimedª° and publishedª° through Ninevehª by the decreeª¹ of the kingª and his nobles,ª saying,ª° Let neither¹ manª nor beast,ª herdª nor flock,ª tasteª° any thing:ª let them not¹ feed,ª° nor¹ drinkª° water:ª

And proclamation was made, and it was commanded in Nineveh{gr.Nineve} by the king an by his great men, saying, Let not men, or cattle, or oxen, or sheep, taste [any thing], nor feed, nor drink water.

And he caused [it] to be proclaimedª° and publishedª° through Nînwì נִינוֵהª by the decreeª¹ of the kingª and his nobles,ª saying,ª° Let neither¹ manª nor beast,ª herdª nor flock,ª tasteª° any thing:ª let them not¹ feed,ª° nor¹ drinkª° water:ª
