NOW in those days came Juchanon the Baptizer preaching in the desert of Jehud,

And in those days came John the Baptizer. And he proclaimed in the desert of Judaea,

ΕΝ ΔΕ ΤΑΙΣ ΗΜΕΡΑΙΣ ἐκείναις παραγίνεται Ἰωάνης ὁ βαπτιστὴς κηρύσσων ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ τῆς Ἰουδαίας

In moreover unto-the-ones unto-days unto-the-ones-thither it-becometh-beside, an-Ioanes the-one an-immerser, heralding in unto-the-one unto-solituded of-the-one of-an-Ioudaia,
