And when ye pray, ye shall not be as the hypocrites: for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have received their reward.

Andª whenª thou prayest,ª° thou shalt²° notª beª° asª the¹ hypocritesª [are]: forª they loveª° to prayª° standingª° inª the¹ synagoguesª andª inª the¹ cornersª of the¹ streets,ª thatª they may² be seenª°¹ of men.ª Verilyª I sayª° unto you,ª² They haveª° their²¹ reward.ª

And when thou prayest, be not as the face-takers, who love to stand in the assemblies and at the corners of the streets to pray, that they may be seen of men; and truly I say to you that they receive their reward.

And when thou prayest. thou shalt not be like the hypocrites, who are fond of standing up in the synagogues and at the corners of streets to pray, so that they may be seen by people. Verily I say to you, they have gotten their reward.

Καὶ ὅταν προσεύχησθε, οὐκ ἔσεσθε ὡς οἱ ὑποκριταί: ὅτι φιλοῦσιν ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς καὶ ἐν ταῖς γωνίαις τῶν πλατειῶν ἑστῶτες προσεύχεσθαι, ὅπως φανῶσιν τοῖς ἀνθρώποις: ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ἀπέχουσι τὸν μισθὸν αὐτῶν.

And which-also-ever ye-might-goodly-hold-toward, not ye-shall-be as the-ones separaters-under, to-which-a-one they-care-unto in unto-the-ones unto-leadings-together and in unto-the-ones unto-anglings-unto of-the-ones of-broad having-had-come-to-stand to-goodly-hold-toward unto-which-whither they-might-have-had-been-manifested unto-the-ones unto-mankinds; amen I-forth unto-ye, they-hold-off to-the-one to-a-pay of-them.
