And Jesus said unto them, Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then will they fast.

Andª Jesusª saidª° unto them,ª Canªª° the¹ childrenª of the¹ bridechamberª mourn,ª° as long asªª the¹ bridegroomª isª° withª them?ª butª the daysª will come,ª° whenª the¹ bridegroomª shall be takenª° fromª them,ª andª thenª shall they fast.ª°

Jeshu said to them, Neither can the sons of the marriage-chamber fast while the bridegroom is with them: but the days are coming when the bridegroom shall be taken up from them, and then shall they fast.

Jesus said to them: Can the children of the nuptial chamber fast, so long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and then they will fast.

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς Μὴ δύνανται οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ νυμφῶνος πενθεῖν ἐφ' ὅσον μετ' αὐτῶν ἐστὶν ὁ νυμφίος; ἐλεύσονται δὲ ἡμέραι ὅταν ἀπαρθῇ ἀπ' αὐτῶν ὁ νυμφίος, καὶ τότε νηστεύσουσιν.

And it-had-said unto-them, the-one an-Iesous, Lest they-ableth, the-ones sons of-the-one of-an-en-briding, to-mourn-unto upon to-which-a-which with of-them it-be the-one bride-belonged? They-shall-come moreover, days, which-also-ever it-might-have-been-lifted-off off of-them the-one bride-belonged, and to-the-one-which-also they-shall-non-eat-of.
