When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, [then] cometh the evil [one], and snatcheth away that which hath been sown in his heart. This is he that was sown by the way side.

When any² one¹ hearethª° the¹ wordª of the¹ kingdom,ª andª understandethª° [it] not,ª then comethª° the¹ wickedª [one], andª catcheth awayª° that which² was sownª° inª hisª heart.ª Thisª isª° he which received seedª° byª the¹ way side.ª

When any² one¹ hearethª° the¹ wordª of the¹ kingdome,ª andª vnderstandethª° it not,ª then commethª° the¹ wickedª one, andª catcheth awayª° that which² was sowenª° inª hisª heart:ª thisª isª° hee which receiued seedeª° byª the¹ way side.ª

(When) any one who heareth the doctrine of the kingdom doth not understand it, there cometh the evil (one), and snatcheth away the doctrine that was sown in his heart: this is what by the road-side was sown.

Every one that heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, the evil one cometh and snatcheth away the seed sowed in his heart: this is what was sowed by the side of the path.

Παντὸς ἀκούοντος τὸν λόγον τῆς βασιλείας καὶ μὴ συνιέντος, ἔρχεται ὁ πονηρὸς καὶ ἁρπάζει τὸ ἐσπαρμένον ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ: οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ παρὰ τὴν ὁδὸν σπαρείς.

Of-all of-hearing to-the-one to-a-forthee of-the-one of-a-ruling-of and lest of-sending-together, it-cometh, the-one en-necessitated, and it-snatcheth-to to-the-one to-having-had-come-to-be-whorled in unto-the-one unto-a-heart of-it; the-one-this it-be the-one beside to-the-one to-a-way having-had-been-whorled.
