But he said unto them, Not all men can receive this saying, but they to whom it is given.

Butª he¹ saidª° unto them,ª Allª [men] cannot² receiveª°¹ thisª saying,ª saveª [they] to whomª it is given.ª°

But he said to them, Not every man is sufficient for this doctrine, but he to whom it is given.

But he said to them: Not every one is capable of that thing, but he only to whom it is given.

ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Οὐ πάντες χωροῦσι τὸν λόγον, ἀλλ' οἷς δέδοται.

The-one moreover it-had-said unto-them, Not all they-space-unto to-the-one to-a-forthee, other unto-which it-had-come-to-be-given.
