Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first married and deceased, and having no seed left his wife unto his brother;

But there were with us seven brethren: the eldest (of whom) took a wife, and died. And because he had no children, he left his wife unto his brother.

Now there were with us seven brothers. The first took a wife, and deceased; and, as he had no children, he left his wife to his brother.

ἦσαν δὲ παρ' ἡμῖν ἑπτὰ ἀδελφοί: καὶ ὁ πρῶτος γήμας ἐτελεύτησεν, καὶ μὴ ἔχων σπέρμα ἀφῆκεν τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ:

They-were moveover beside unto-us seven brethrened; and the-one most-before having-married-unto it-finished-of-unto, and lest holding to-a-whorling-to it-sent-off to-the-one to-a-woman of-it unto-the-one unto-brethrened of-it;
