Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye tithe mint and anise and cummin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: but these ye ought to have done, and not to have left the other undone.

Woeª unto you,ª scribesª andª Pharisees,ª hypocrites!ª for²¹ ye pay titheª° of mintª andª aniseª andª cummin,ª andª have omittedª° the¹ weightierª [matters] of the¹ law,ª judgment,ªª mercy,ª andª faith:ª theseª ought¹ ye²° to have done,ª° and notª to leaveª° the otherª undone.ª°

Woe to you, scribes, Pharishee, hypocrites! because you tithe mint, dill, and cummin, and omit the more grave [requirements] of the law, -justice, benignity, and faithfulness. For these you should have done, and those not omitted.

Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: for ye tithe mint, and anise, and cummin, and omit the graver [matters] of the law, judgment, and mercy, and fidelity: these ought ye to do, and those not to omit.

Οὐαὶ ὑμῖν, γραμματεῖς καὶ Φαρισαῖοι ὑποκριταί, ὅτι ἀποδεκατοῦτε τὸ ἡδύοσμον καὶ τὸ ἄνηθον καὶ τὸ κύμινον, καὶ ἀφήκατε τὰ βαρύτερα τοῦ νόμου, τὴν κρίσιν καὶ τὸ ἔλεος καὶ τὴν πίστιν: ταῦτα δὲ ἔδει ποιῆσαι κἀκεῖνα μὴ ἀφεῖναι.

A-woe unto-ye, Letterers-of and Faris-belonged, Separaters-under, to-which-a-one ye-en-tenth-off to-the-one to-pleasant-odored and to-the-one to-an-anethumee and to-the-one to-a-cumminee, and ye-sent-off to-the-ones to-more-weighted of-the-one of-a-parcelee, to-the-one to-a-separating and to-the-one to-a-compassion and to-the-one to-a-trust; to-the-ones-these moreover it-was-binding to-have-done-unto to-and-the-ones-thither lest to-have-sent-off.
