And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits came out, and entered into the swine: and the herd rushed down the steep into the sea, [in number] about two thousand; and they were drowned in the sea.

Andª forthwithª Jesusª gave²° them² leave.ª°¹ Andª the¹ uncleanª spiritsª went out,ª° and¹ enteredª° intoª the¹ swine:ª andª the¹ herdª ran²° violently¹ downª a steep placeª intoª the¹ sea,ª² (they¹ wereª° aboutª two thousand;)ª andª were chokedª° inª the¹ sea.ª

And he suffered them. And those unclean spirits went forth and entered into the swine; and that herd ran to the rock, and plunged into the sea, as two thousand, and were drowned in the waters.

And he permitted them. And those unclean spirits went out, and entered the swine: and the herd, of about two thousand, ran to a precipice, and fell into the sea, and were strangled in the waters.

καὶ ἐπέτρεψεν αὐτοῖς. καὶ ἐξελθόντα τὰ πνεύματα τὰ ἀκάθαρτα εἰσῆλθον εἰς τοὺς χοίρους, καὶ ὥρμησεν ἡ ἀγέλη κατὰ τοῦ κρημνοῦ εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, ὡς δισχίλιοι, καὶ ἐπνίγοντο ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ.

And it-turned-upon unto-them. And having-had-came-out, the-ones currentings-to the-ones un-cleansable, they-had-came-into into to-the-ones to-hogs, and it-corded-unto, the-one a-herd, down of-the-one of-a-precipice into to-the-one to-a-sea, as two-thousand, and they-were-being-choked in unto-the-one unto-a-sea.
