But I have used none of these things: and I write not these things that it may be so done in my case; for [it were] good for me rather to die, than that any man should make my glorifying void.

But I am not used in one of these; nor on this account have I thus written, that so it should be done unto me: for it were better for me that dying I should die, than that any man my glorying should make void.

ἐγὼ δὲ οὐ κέχρημαι οὐδενὶ τούτων. Οὐκ ἔγραψα δὲ ταῦτα ἵνα οὕτως γένηται ἐν ἐμοί, καλὸν γάρ μοι μᾶλλον ἀποθανεῖν ἢ-- τὸ καύχημά μου οὐδεὶς κενώσει.

I moreover not I-had-come-to-afford-unto unto-not-moreover-one of-the-ones-these. Not I-scribed moreover to-the-ones-these so unto-the-one-this it-might-have-became in unto-ME, seemly therefore unto-me more-such to-have-had-died-off or to-the-one to-a-boasting-to of-me not-moreover-one it-shall-en-empty.
