For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;

For the affliction of this time, while small and light, a glory without end for ever and ever prepareth for us.

For the affliction of the present time, though very small and light, prepareth for us great glory, without end, for ever and ever;

τὸ γὰρ παραυτίκα ἐλαφρὸν τῆς θλίψεως καθ' ὑπερβολὴν εἰς ὑπερβολὴν αἰώνιον βάρος δόξης κατεργάζεται ἡμῖν,
