how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? which having at the first been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard;

Howª shall weª escape,ª° if we neglectª° so greatª salvation;ª whichª at the first² beganª°¹ to be spokenª° byª the¹ Lord,ª and¹ was confirmedª° untoª usª byª them that heardª° [him];

how shall we escape if we despise those (words) which themselves are our salvation? those [namely] which began by our Lord to be spoken, and by them who from him heard them in us were confirmed,

how shall we escape, if we despise the things which are our life, things which began to be spoken by our Lord, and were confirmed to us by them who heard from him,

πῶς ἡμεῖς ἐκφευξόμεθα τηλικαύτης ἀμελήσαντες σωτηρίας, ἥτις, ἀρχὴν λαβοῦσα λαλεῖσθαι διὰ τοῦ κυρίου, ὑπὸ τῶν ἀκουσάντων εἰς ἡμᾶς ἐβεβαιώθη,

unto-whither we we-shall-flee-out of-the-one-statured-to-the-one-this having-un-concerned-unto of-a-savioring-unto, which-a-one, to-a-firsting having-had-taken to-be-spoken-unto through of-the-one of-Authority-belonged, under of-the-ones of-having-heard into to-us it-was-en-base-belonged,
