Wherefore, brethren, give the more diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never stumble:

Whereforeª the rather,ª brethren,ª give diligenceª° to makeª° yourª callingª andª electionª sure:ª forª if ye doª° these things,ª ye shall²²° neverª¹ fall:ª²°

Wherefore,ª the rather,ª brethren,ª giue diligenceª° to makeª° yourª callingª andª electionª sure:ª forª if ye doeª° these things,ª ye shall²²° neuerª¹ fall.ª²°

Upon this the more, my brethren, be careful, that by your good works your calling and your election you may confirm; for, while you do these, you will never lapse;

And therefore, my brethren, be ye exceedingly diligent to make your calling and election sure, by your good actions: for, by so doing, ye will never fall away.

διὸ μᾶλλον, ἀδελφοί, σπουδάσατε βεβαίαν ὑμῶν τὴν κλῆσιν καὶ ἐκλογὴν ποιεῖσθαι: ταῦτα γὰρ ποιοῦντες οὐ μὴ πταίσητέ ποτε:
