Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and [such] we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Behold,ª° what mannerª of loveª the¹ Fatherª hath bestowedª° upon us,ª thatª we should be calledª° the sonsª of God:ª thereforeªª the¹ worldª knowethª° usª not,ª becauseª it knewª° himª not.ª

Beholde,ª° what mannerª of loueª the¹ Fatherª hath bestowedª° vpon vs,ª thatª wee should be calledª° the sonnesª of God:ª therforeªª the¹ worldª knowethª° vsª not,ª becauseª it kneweª° himª not.ª

And see how great is the love of the Father toward us, that sons he hath called us, and also made us! Therefore the world doth not know us, because that it hath also not known him.

And ye see, how great is the love of the Father towards us, who hath called us sons, and made us [such]. Therefore the world knoweth us not, because it likewise knoweth him not.

Ἴδετε ποταπὴν ἀγάπην δέδωκεν ἡμῖν ὁ πατὴρ ἵνα τέκνα θεοῦ κληθῶμεν, καί ἐσμεν. διὰ τοῦτο ὁ κόσμος οὐ γινώσκει ἡμᾶς ὅτι οὐκ ἔγνω αὐτόν.

Ye-should-have-had-seen to-whither-also-whither to-an-excessing-off it-had-come-to-give unto-us, the-one a-Father, so producees of-a-Deity we-might-have-been-called-unto, and we-be. Through to-the-one-this the-one a-configuration not it-acquainteth to-us to-which-a-one not it-had-acquainted to-it.
