 4:1 ¶ For, behold, the day cometh, it burneth as a furnace; and all the proud, and all that work wickedness, shall be stubble; and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith Jehovah of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

 4:1 ¶ For,º behold,º the dayº cometh,ºº that shall burnºº as an oven;º and allº the proud,º yea, and allº that doºº wickedly,º shall beº stubble:º and the dayº that comethºº shall burn them up,ººº saithºº the LORDº of hosts,º thatº it shall leaveºº them neitherº rootº nor branch.º

 4:2 ¶ But unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings; and ye shall go forth, and gambol as calves of the stall.

 4:2 ¶ But unto you that fearº my nameº shall the Sunº of righteousnessº ariseºº with healingº in his wings;º and ye shall go forth,ºº and grow upºº as calvesº of the stall.º

 4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I make, saith Jehovah of hosts.

 4:3 And ye shall tread downºº the wicked;º forº they shall beº ashesº underº the solesº of your feetº in the dayº thatº Iº shall doºº [this], saithºº the LORDº of hosts.º

 4:4 ¶ Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, even statutes and ordinances.

 4:4 ¶ Rememberºº ye the lawº of Mosesº my servant,º whichº I commandedºº untoº him in Horebº forº allº Israel,º [with] the statutesº and judgments.º

 4:5 ¶ Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of Jehovah come.

 4:5 ¶ Behold,º Iº will sendºº youº Elijahº the prophetº beforeº the comingºº of the greatº and dreadfulºº dayº of the LORD:º

 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers; lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

 4:6 And he shall turnºº the heartº of the fathersº toº the children,º and the heartº of the childrenº toº their fathers,º lestº I comeºº and smiteººº the earthº with a curse.º
