1902 Rotherham's Emphasized Bible (EBR)

Romans 5

1 Being justified by faith, we have peace with God, 2 and joy in our hope, 8 that since we were reconciled by his blood, when we were enemies, 10 we shall much more be saved being reconciled. 12 As sin and death came by Adam, 17 so much more righteousness and life by Jesus Christ. 20 Where sin abounded, grace did superabound.

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:1 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:1 Study Bible Notes 5:1 ¶ Having, therefore, been declared righteous by faith, let us have, peace, towards God, through our Lord Jesus Christ,—

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:2 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:2 Study Bible Notes 5:2 Through whom also we have had, our introduction, [by our faith] into this favour wherein we stand; and let us boast in hope of the glory of God.

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:3 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:3 Study Bible Notes 5:3 And, not only so, but let us boast also in our tribulations; knowing that, our tribulation, worketh out endurance.

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:4 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:4 Study Bible Notes 5:4 And, our endurance, a testing, and, our testing, hope,

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:5 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:5 Study Bible Notes 5:5 And, our hope, putteth not to shame. Because, the love of God, hath been poured out in our hearts, through the Holy Spirit that hath been given unto us:

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:6 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:6 Study Bible Notes 5:6 ¶ Seeing that, Christ, we being weak as yet, seasonably, in behalf of such as were ungodly, died.

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:7 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:7 Study Bible Notes 5:7 For, scarcely in behalf of a righteous man, will one die,—in behalf of the good man indeed, peradventure one even dareth to die;

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:8 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:8 Study Bible Notes 5:8 But God commendeth his own love unto us in that—we as yet being sinners, Christ in our behalf died.

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:9 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:9 Study Bible Notes 5:9 Much more, then, having now been declared righteous by his blood, shall we be saved through him from the anger.

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:10 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:10 Study Bible Notes 5:10 For, if being enemies we were reconciled unto God through the death of his Son, much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:11 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:11 Study Bible Notes 5:11 And, not only, so, but are even boasting in God, through our Lord Jesus [Christ],—through whom, now, the reconciliation we have received.

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:12 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:12 Study Bible Notes 5:12 For this cause,—just as, through one man, sin into the world entered, and through sin, death,—and, so, unto all men death passed through, for that all had sinned;—

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:13 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:13 Study Bible Notes 5:13 For, until law, sin was in the world, although sin is not reckoned when there is no law,—

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:14 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:14 Study Bible Notes 5:14 Yet still, death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over them who had not sinned after the likeness of the transgression of Adam,—who is a type of the Coming One;—

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:15 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:15 Study Bible Notes 5:15 But, not as the fault, so, [also] the decree of favour, for, if, by the fault of the one, the many died, much more, the favour of God and the free-gift in favour, by the one man Jesus Christ, unto the many superabounded;

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:16 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:16 Study Bible Notes 5:16 And, not as through one that sinned, is that which is freely given, for, the sentence of judgment, indeed, was—out of one [fault] into condemnation, whereas, the decree of favour, is—out of many faults, into a recovery of righteousness.

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:17 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:17 Study Bible Notes 5:17 For, if, by the fault of the one, death reigned through the one, much more, they who the superabundance of the favour and of [the free-gift of] the righteousness do receive, in life, shall reign through the one, Jesus Christ.

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:18 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:18 Study Bible Notes 5:18 Hence then, as through one fault, [the sentence was] unto all men unto condemnation, so, also, through one recovery of righteousness, [the decree of favour] is unto all men for righteous acquittal unto life;

Online Bible Translation Romans 5:19 EBR 1902 Rotherham's Emphasized BibleRead Comments for Romans 5:19 Study Bible Notes 5:19 For, just as, through the disobedience of the one man, sinners, the many were constituted, so, also, through the obedience of the one, righteous, the many shall be constituted—
