וַיִּתְפַּלֵּל אֶל־יְהוָה וַיֹּאמַר אָנָּה יְהוָה הֲלוֹא־זֶה דְבָרִי עַד־הֱיוֹתִי עַל־אַדְמָתִי עַל־כֵּן קִדַּמְתִּי לִבְרֹחַ תַּרְשִׁישָׁה כִּי יָדַעְתִּי כִּי אַתָּה אֵל־חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וְרַב־חֶסֶד וְנִחָם עַל־הָרָעָה

 4:2 waYit'PaLël el-y'hwäh waYomar äNäh y'hwäh hálô-zeh d'väriy ad-héyôtiy al-ad'mätiy al-Kën qiDam'Tiy liv'roªch Tar'shiyshäh Kiy yäda'Tiy Kiy aTäh ël-chaNûn w'rachûm erekh' aPayim w'rav-chešed w'nichäm al-härääh

 4:4 ¶ Then said 559 z8799 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 Doest thou well 3190 z8687 to be angry? 2734 z8804

וַיֵּצֵא יוֹנָה מִן־הָעִיר וַיֵּשֶׁב מִקֶּדֶם לָעִיר וַיַּעַשׂ לוֹ שָׁם סֻכָּה וַיֵּשֶׁב תַּחְתֶּיהָ בַּצֵּל עַד אֲשֶׁר יִרְאֶה מַה־יִּהְיֶה בָּעִיר

 4:5 waYëtzë yônäh min-häiyr waYëshev miQedem läiyr waYaas lô shäm šuKäh waYëshev Tach'Teyhä BaTZël ad ásher yir'eh mah-Yih'yeh Bäiyr

 4:9 And ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 said 559 z8799 to x413 Yônà יוֹנָה, 3124 Doest thou well 3190 z8687 to be angry 2734 z8804 for x5921 the gourd? 7021 And he said, 559 z8799 I do well 3190 z8687 to be angry, 2734 z8804 [even] unto x5704 death. 4194

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אַתָּה חַסְתָּ עַל־הַקִּיקָיוֹן אֲשֶׁר לֹא־עָמַלְתָּ בּוֹ וְלֹא גִדַּלְתּוֹ שֶׁבִּן־לַיְלָה הָיָה וּבִן־לַיְלָה אָבָד

 4:10 waYomer y'hwäh aTäh chaš'Tä al-haQiyqäyôn ásher lo-ämal'Tä Bô w'lo giDal'Tô sheBin-lay'läh häyäh ûvin-lay'läh äväd

 4:10 Then said 559 z8799 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 Thou x859 hast had pity 2347 z8804 on x5921 the gourd, 7021 for the which x834 thou hast not x3808 laboured, 5998 z8804 neither x3808 madest it grow; 1431 z8765 which came up x1961 in x7945 x1121 a night, 3915 y1121 and perished 6 z8804 in x1121 a night: 3915 y1121

וַאֲנִי לֹא אָחוּס עַל־נִינְוֵה הָעִיר הַגְּדוֹלָה אֲשֶׁר יֶשׁ־בָּהּ הַרְבֵּה מִשְׁתֵּים־עֶשְׂרֵה רִבּוֹ אָדָם אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָדַע בֵּין־יְמִינוֹ לִשְׂמֹאלוֹ וּבְהֵמָה רַבָּה

 4:11 waániy lo ächûš al-niyn'wëh häiyr haG'dôläh ásher yesh-BäH har'Bëh mish'Tëym-es'rëh riBô ädäm ásher lo-yäda Bëyn-y'miynô lis'molô ûv'hëmäh raBäh
