8:3 Israel 3478 hath cast off 2186 z8804 [the thing that is] good: 2896 the enemy 341 z8802 shall pursue 7291 z8799 him.

8:4 They x1992 have set up kings, 4427 z8689 but not x3808 by x4480 me: they have made princes, y7786 z8689 x8323 and I knew 3045 z8804 [it] not: x3808 of their silver 3701 and their gold 2091 have they made 6213 z8804 them idols, 6091 that x4616 they may be cut off. 3772 z8735

8:5 ¶ Thy calf, 5695 O Samaria, 8111 hath cast y2186 z8804 [thee] off; x2186 mine anger 639 is kindled 2734 z8804 against them: how long x5704 x4970 [will it be] ere 3808 they attain 3201 z8799 to innocency? 5356

8:6 For x3588 from Israel 3478 x4480 [was] it x1931 also: the workman 2796 made 6213 z8804 it; x1931 therefore it [is] not x3808 Elohim: 430 but x3588 the calf 5695 of Samaria 8111 shall be x1961 broken in pieces. 7616

8:7 For x3588 they have sown 2232 z8799 the wind, 7307 and they shall reap 7114 z8799 the whirlwind: 5492 it hath no x369 stalk: 7054 the bud 6780 shall yield 6213 z8799 no x1097 meal: 7058 if y194 so be x194 it yield, 6213 z8799 the strangers 2114 z8801 shall swallow it up. 1104 z8799

8:8 Israel 3478 is swallowed up: 1104 z8738 now x6258 shall they be x1961 among the Gentiles 1471 as a vessel 3627 wherein [is] no x369 pleasure. 2656

8:9 For x3588 they x1992 are gone up 5927 z8804 to Assyria, 804 a wild ass 6501 alone 909 z8802 by himself: Ephraim 669 hath hired 8566 z8689 lovers. 158

8:10 Yea, x1571 though x3588 they have hired 8566 z8799 among the nations, 1471 now x6258 will I gather 6908 z8762 them, and they shall sorrow 2490 z8686 a little 4592 for the burden 4853 x4480 of the king 4428 of princes. 8269

8:11 Because x3588 Ephraim 669 hath made many 7235 z8689 altars 4196 to sin, 2398 z8800 altars 4196 shall be x1961 unto him to sin. 2398 z8800

8:12 I have written 3789 z8799 to him the great things 7230 z8675 y7239 of my law, 8451 [but] they were counted 2803 z8738 as x3644 a strange thing. 2114 z8801

8:13 They sacrifice 2076 z8799 flesh 1320 [for] the sacrifices 2077 of mine offerings, 1890 and eat 398 z8799 [it; but] Yahweh 3068 accepteth 7521 z8804 them not; x3808 now x6258 will he remember 2142 z8799 their iniquity, 5771 and visit 6485 z8799 their sins: 2403 they x1992 shall return 7725 z8799 to Egypt. 4714

8:14 For Israel 3478 hath forgotten 7911 z8799 x853 his Maker, 6213 z8802 and buildeth 1129 z8799 temples; 1964 and Judah 3063 hath multiplied 7235 z8689 fenced 1219 z8803 cities: 5892 but I will send 7971 z8765 a fire 784 upon his cities, 5892 and it shall devour 398 z8804 the palaces 759 thereof.
