1 Joshua assembleth the tribes at Shechem. 2 A brief history of God's benefits from Terah. 14 He reneweth the Covenant between them and God. 26 A stone the witness of the Covenant. 29 Joshua's age, death, and burial. 32 Joseph's bones are buried. 33 Eleazar dieth.

 24:1 ¶ And Joshua 3091 gathered 622 z8799 x853 all x3605 the tribes 7626 of Israel 3478 to Shechem, 7927 and called 7121 z8799 for the elders 2205 of Israel, 3478 and for their heads, 7218 and for their judges, 8199 z8802 and for their officers; 7860 z8802 and they presented y3320 z8691 themselves x3320 before 6440 Elohim. 430

 24:2 And Joshua 3091 said 559 z8799 unto x413 all x3605 the people, 5971 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 Yahweh 3068 Elohim 430 of Israel, 3478 Your fathers 1 dwelt 3427 z8804 on the other side 5676 of the flood 5104 in old time, 5769 x4480 [even] Terah, 8646 the father 1 of Abraham, 85 and the father 1 of Nachor: 5152 and they served 5647 z8799 other 312 elohim. 430

 24:3 And I took 3947 z8799 x853 your father 1 x853 Abraham 85 from the other side 5676 x4480 of the flood, 5104 and led y3212 z8686 x1980 him throughout all x3605 the land 776 of Canaan, 3667 and multiplied 7235 z8686 x853 his seed, 2233 and gave 5414 z8799 him x853 Isaac. 3327

 24:4 And I gave 5414 z8799 unto Isaac 3327 x853 Jacob 3290 and Esau: 6215 and I gave 5414 z8799 unto Esau 6215 x853 mount 2022 Seir, 8165 to possess 3423 z8800 it; but Jacob 3290 and his children 1121 went down 3381 z8804 into Egypt. 4714

 24:9 Then Balak 1111 the son 1121 of Zippor, 6834 king 4428 of Moab, 4124 arose 6965 z8799 and warred 3898 z8735 against Israel, 3478 and sent 7971 z8799 and called 7121 z8799 Balaam 1109 the son 1121 of Beor 1160 to curse 7043 z8763 you:

 24:10 But I would 14 z8804 not x3808 hearken 8085 z8800 unto Balaam; 1109 therefore he blessed 1288 z8762 you still: y1288 z8800 so I delivered 5337 z8686 you out of his hand. 3027 x4480

 24:11 And ye went over 5674 z8799 x853 Jordan, 3383 and came 935 z8799 unto x413 Jericho: 3405 and the men 1167 of Jericho 3405 fought 3898 z8735 against you, the Amorites, 567 and the Perizzites, 6522 and the Canaanites, 3669 and the Hittites, 2850 and the Girgashites, 1622 the Hivites, 2340 and the Jebusites; 2983 and I delivered 5414 z8799 them into your hand. 3027

 24:12 And I sent 7971 z8799 x853 the hornet 6880 before 6440 you, which drave them out 1644 z8762 x853 from before 6440 x4480 you, [even] the two 8147 kings 4428 of the Amorites; 567 [but] not x3808 with thy sword, 2719 nor x3808 with thy bow. 7198

 24:13 And I have given 5414 z8799 you a land 776 for which x834 ye did not x3808 labour, 3021 z8804 and cities 5892 which x834 ye built 1129 z8804 not, x3808 and ye dwell 3427 z8799 in them; of the vineyards 3754 and oliveyards 2132 which x834 ye planted 5193 z8804 not x3808 do ye x859 eat. 398 z8802

 24:14 ¶ Now therefore x6258 fear 3372 z8798 x853 Yahweh, 3068 and serve 5647 z8798 him in sincerity 8549 and in truth: 571 and put away 5493 z8685 x853 the elohim 430 which x834 your fathers 1 served 5647 z8804 on the other side 5676 of the flood, 5104 and in Egypt; 4714 and serve 5647 z8798 ye x853 Yahweh. 3068

 24:15 And if x518 it seem evil 7489 z8804 unto you y4310 x5869 to serve 5647 z8800 x853 Yahweh, 3068 choose 977 z8798 you this day 3117 x853 whom y5869 x4310 ye will serve; 5647 z8799 whether x518 x853 the elohim 430 which x834 your fathers 1 served 5647 z8804 that x834 [were] on the other side 5676 of the flood, 5104 or x518 x853 the elohim 430 of the Amorites, 567 in whose land 776 ye x859 dwell: 3427 z8802 but as for me x595 and my house, 1004 we will serve 5647 z8799 x853 Yahweh. 3068

 24:16 And the people 5971 answered 6030 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 God forbid 2486 that we should forsake 5800 z8800 x4480 x853 Yahweh, 3068 to serve 5647 z8800 other 312 elohim; 430

 24:17 For x3588 Yahweh 3068 our Elohim, 430 he x1931 [it is] that brought x5927 us up y5927 z8688 and our fathers 1 out of the land 776 x4480 of Egypt, 4714 from the house 1004 x4480 of bondage, 5650 and which x834 did 6213 z8804 those x428 great 1419 x853 signs 226 in our sight, 5869 and preserved 8104 z8799 us in all x3605 the way 1870 wherein x834 we went, 1980 z8804 and among all x3605 the people 5971 through 7130 whom we passed: 5674 z8804

 24:18 And Yahweh 3068 drave out 1644 z8762 from before 6440 x4480 us x853 all x3605 the people, 5971 even the Amorites 567 which dwelt 3427 z8802 in the land: 776 [therefore] will we x587 also x1571 serve 5647 z8799 x853 Yahweh; 3068 for x3588 he x1931 [is] our Elohim. 430

 24:19 And Joshua 3091 said 559 z8799 unto x413 the people, 5971 Ye cannot 3201 z8799 x3808 serve 5647 z8800 x853 Yahweh: 3068 for x3588 he x1931 [is] an holy 6918 Elohim; 430 he x1931 [is] a jealous 7072 El; 410 he will not x3808 forgive 5375 z8799 your transgressions 6588 nor your sins. 2403

 24:20 If x3588 ye forsake 5800 z8799 x853 Yahweh, 3068 and serve 5647 z8804 strange 5236 elohim, 430 then he will turn 7725 z8804 and do you hurt, 7489 z8689 and consume 3615 z8765 you, after 310 that x834 he hath done you good. 3190 z8689

 24:21 And the people 5971 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Joshua, 3091 Nay; x3808 but x3588 we will serve 5647 z8799 x853 Yahweh. 3068

 24:22 And Joshua 3091 said 559 z8799 unto x413 the people, 5971 Ye x859 [are] witnesses 5707 against yourselves that x3588 ye x859 have chosen 977 z8804 you x853 Yahweh, 3068 to serve 5647 z8800 him. And they said, 559 z8799 [We are] witnesses. 5707

 24:23 Now x6258 therefore put away, 5493 z8685 [said he], the x853 strange 5236 elohim 430 which x834 [are] among 7130 you, and incline 5186 z8685 x853 your heart 3824 unto x413 Yahweh 3068 Elohim 430 of Israel. 3478

 24:24 And the people 5971 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Joshua, 3091 x853 Yahweh 3068 our Elohim 430 will we serve, 5647 z8799 and his voice 6963 will we obey. 8085 z8799

 24:25 So Joshua 3091 made 3772 z8799 a covenant 1285 with the people 5971 that x1931 day, 3117 and set 7760 z8799 them a statute 2706 and an ordinance 4941 in Shechem. 7927

 24:26 ¶ And Joshua 3091 wrote 3789 z8799 these x428 x853 words 1697 in the book 5612 of the law 8451 of Elohim, 430 and took 3947 z8799 a great 1419 stone, 68 and set it up 6965 z8686 there x8033 under x8478 an oak, 427 that x834 [was] by the sanctuary 4720 of Yahweh. 3068

 24:27 And Joshua 3091 said 559 z8799 unto x413 all x3605 the people, 5971 Behold, x2009 this x2063 stone 68 shall be x1961 a witness 5713 unto us; for x3588 it x1931 hath heard 8085 z8804 x853 all x3605 the words 561 of Yahweh 3068 which x834 he spake 1696 z8765 unto x5973 us: it shall be x1961 therefore a witness 5713 unto you, lest x6435 ye deny 3584 z8762 your Elohim. 430

 24:28 So Joshua 3091 let x853 the people 5971 depart, 7971 z8762 every man 376 unto his inheritance. 5159

 24:29 ¶ And it came to pass x1961 after 310 these x428 things, 1697 that Joshua 3091 the son 1121 of Nun, 5126 the servant 5650 of Yahweh, 3068 died, 4191 z8799 [being] an hundred 3967 and ten 6235 years y8141 old. y1121 x8141

 24:30 And they buried 6912 z8799 him in the border 1366 of his inheritance 5159 in Timnathserah, 8556 which x834 [is] in mount 2022 Ephraim, 669 on the north side 6828 x4480 of the hill 2022 of Gaash. 1608

 24:31 And Israel 3478 served 5647 z8799 x853 Yahweh 3068 all x3605 the days 3117 of Joshua, 3091 and all x3605 the days 3117 of the elders 2205 that x834 overlived 748 3117 310 z8689 Joshua, 3091 and which x834 had known 3045 z8804 x853 all x3605 the works 4639 of Yahweh, 3068 that x834 he had done 6213 z8804 for Israel. 3478

 24:32 ¶ And the bones 6106 of Joseph, 3130 which x834 the children 1121 of Israel 3478 brought up 5927 z8689 out of Egypt, 4714 x4480 buried 6912 z8804 they in Shechem, 7927 in a parcel 2513 of ground 7704 which x834 Jacob 3290 bought 7069 z8804 of x4480 x854 the sons 1121 of Hamor 2544 the father 1 of Shechem y7927 x7928 for an hundred 3967 pieces of silver: 7192 and it became x1961 the inheritance 5159 of the children 1121 of Joseph. 3130

 24:33 And Eleazar 499 the son 1121 of Aaron 175 died; 4191 z8804 and they buried 6912 z8799 him in a hill 1389 [that pertained to] Phinehas 6372 his son, 1121 which x834 was given 5414 z8738 him in mount 2022 Ephraim. 669
