1 Corinthians 2

He declareth that his preaching, 1 though it being not excellency of speech, or of 4 human wisdom: yet consisteth in the 4, 5 power of God: and so far excelleth 6 the wisdom of this world, and 9 human sense, as that 14 the natural man cannot understand it.

 2:1 And when I came 2064 to you, brethren 80, I did not come 2064 with superiority 5247 of speech 3056 or 2228 of wisdom 4678, proclaiming 2605 to you the testimony 3142 of God 2316.

 2:2 For I determined 2919 to know 3609a nothing 3756 5100 among 1722 you except 1508 Jesus 2424 Christ 5547, and Him crucified 4717.

 2:3 I was with you in weakness 769 and in fear 5401 and in much 4183 trembling 5156,

 2:4 and my message 3056 and my preaching 2782 were not in persuasive 3981 words 3056 of wisdom 4678, but in demonstration 585 of the Spirit 4151 and of power 1411,

 2:5 so 2443 that your faith 4102 would not rest 1510 on the wisdom 4678 of men 444, but on the power 1411 of God 2316.

 2:6 ¶ Yet 1161 we do speak 2980 wisdom 4678 among 1722 those 3588 who are mature 5046; a wisdom 4678, however 1161, not of this 3778 age 165 nor 3761 of the rulers 758 of this 3778 age 165, who are passing 2673 away 2673;

 2:7 but we speak 2980 God’s 2316 wisdom 4678 in a mystery 3466, the hidden 613 [wisdom] which 3739 God 2316 predestined 4309 before 4253 the ages 165 to our glory 1391;

 2:8 [the wisdom] which 3739 none 3762 of the rulers 758 of this 3778 age 165 has understood 1097; for if 1487 they had understood 1097 it they would not have crucified 4717 the Lord 2962 of glory 1391;

 2:9 but just 2531a as it is written 1125, “THINGS WHICH 3739 EYE 3788 HAS NOT SEEN 3708 AND EAR 3775 HAS NOT HEARD 191, AND [which] HAVE NOT ENTERED 305 THE HEART 2588 OF MAN 444, ALL 3745 THAT GOD 2316 HAS PREPARED 2090 FOR THOSE 3588 WHO LOVE 25 HIM.”

 2:10 For to us God 2316 revealed 601 [them] through 1223 the Spirit 4151; for the Spirit 4151 searches 2045 all 3956 things 3956, even 2532 the depths 899 of God 2316.

 2:11 For who 5101 among men 444 knows 3609a the [thoughts] of a man 444 except 1508 the spirit 4151 of the man 444 which is in him? Even 2532 so 3779 the [thoughts] of God 2316 no 3762 one 3762 knows 1097 except 1508 the Spirit 4151 of God 2316.

 2:12 Now 1161 we have received 2983, not the spirit 4151 of the world 2889, but the Spirit 4151 who 3588 is from God 2316, so 2443 that we may know 3609a the things 5483 freely 5483 given 5483 to us by God 2316,

 2:13 which 3739 things we also 2532 speak 2980, not in words 3056 taught 1318 by human 442 wisdom 4678, but in those taught 1318 by the Spirit 4151, combining 4793 spiritual 4152 [thoughts] with spiritual 4152 [words].

 2:14 ¶ But a natural 5591 man 444 does not accept 1209 the things of the Spirit 4151 of God 2316, for they are foolishness 3472 to him; and he cannot 1410 3756 understand 1097 them, because 3754 they are spiritually 4153 appraised 350.

 2:15 But he who is spiritual 4152 appraises 350 all 3956 things 3956, yet 1161 he himself 846 is appraised 350 by no 3762 one 3762.

 2:16 For WHO 5101 HAS KNOWN 1097 THE MIND 3563 OF THE LORD 2962, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT 4822 HIM? But we have 2192 the mind 3563 of Christ 5547.
