1 Abijam's wicked reign. 8 Asa succeedeth him. 9 Asa's good reign. 16 The war between Baasha and him causeth him to make a league with Ben-hadad. 23 Jehoshaphat succeedeth Asa. 25 Nadab's wicked reign. 27 Baasha conspiring against him executeth Ahijah's prophecy. 31 Nadab's acts and death. 33 Baasha's wicked reign.

 15:1 Now in the eighteenth 8083 6240 year 8141 of King 4428 Jeroboam 3379, the son 1121 of Nebat 5028, Abijam 38 became 4427a king 4427a over 5921 Judah 3063.

 15:2 He reigned 4427a three 7969 years 8141 in Jerusalem 3389; and his mother’s 517 name 8034 was Maacah 4601 the daughter 1323 of Abishalom 53.

 15:3 He walked 1980 in all 3605 the sins 2403b of his father 1 which 834 he had committed 6213a before 6440 him; and his heart 3824 was not wholly 8003 devoted 8003 to the LORD 3068 his God 430, like the heart 3824 of his father 1 David 1732.

 15:4 But for David’s 1732 sake 4616 the LORD 3068 his God 430 gave 5414 him a lamp 5215a in Jerusalem 3389, to raise 6965 up his son 1121 after 310 him and to establish 5975 Jerusalem 3389;

 15:5 because 834 David 1732 did 6213a what 3477 was right 3477 in the sight 5869 of the LORD 3068, and had not turned 5493 aside 5493 from anything 3605 that He commanded 6680 him all 3605 the days 3117 of his life 2425b, except 7534 in the case 1697 of Uriah 223a the Hittite 2850.

 15:7 ¶ Now the rest 3499a of the acts 1697 of Abijam 38 and all 3605 that he did 6213a, are they not written 3789 in the Book 5612 of the Chronicles 1697 3117 of the Kings 4428 of Judah 3063? And there was war 4421 between 996 Abijam 38 and Jeroboam 3379.

 15:8 And Abijam 38 slept 7901 with his fathers 1 and they buried 6912 him in the city 5892b of David 1732; and Asa 609 his son 1121 became 4427a king 4427a in his place 8478.

 15:9 ¶ So in the twentieth 6242 year 8141 of Jeroboam 3379 the king 4428 of Israel 3478, Asa 609 began to reign 4427a as king 4428 of Judah 3063.

 15:10 He reigned 4427a forty-one 705 259 years 8141 in Jerusalem 3389; and his mother’s 517 name 8034 was Maacah 4601 the daughter 1323 of Abishalom 53.

 15:11 Asa 609 did 6213a what 3477 was right 3477 in the sight 5869 of the LORD 3068, like David 1732 his father 1.

 15:12 He also put 5674a away 5674a the male 6945 cult 6945 prostitutes 6945 from the land 776 and removed 5493 all 3605 the idols 1544 which 834 his fathers 1 had made 6213a.

 15:16 ¶ Now there was war 4421 between 996 Asa 609 and Baasha 1201 king 4428 of Israel 3478 all 3605 their days 3117.

 15:17 Baasha 1201 king 4428 of Israel 3478 went 5927 up against 5921 Judah 3063 and fortified 1129 Ramah 7414 in order to prevent 1115 5414 [anyone] from going 3318 out or coming 935 in to Asa 609 king 4428 of Judah 3063.

 15:18 Then Asa 609 took 3947 all 3605 the silver 3701 and the gold 2091 which were left 3498 in the treasuries 214 of the house 1004 of the LORD 3068 and the treasuries 214 of the king’s 4428 house 1004, and delivered 5414 them into the hand 3027 of his servants 5650. And King 4428 Asa 609 sent 7971 them to Ben-hadad 1130 the son 1121 of Tabrimmon 2886, the son 1121 of Hezion 2383, king 4428 of Aram 758, who lived 3427 in Damascus 1834, saying 559,

 15:19 “[Let there be] a treaty 1285 between 996 you and me, [as] between 996 my father 1 and your father 1. Behold 2009, I have sent 7971 you a present 7810 of silver 3701 and gold 2091; go 1980, break 6565a your treaty 1285 with Baasha 1201 king 4428 of Israel 3478 so that he will withdraw 5927 from me.”

 15:20 So Ben-hadad 1130 listened 8085 to King 4428 Asa 609 and sent 7971 the commanders 8269 of his armies 2428 against 5921 the cities 5892b of Israel 3478, and conquered 5221 Ijon 5859, Dan 1835, Abel-beth-maacah 62 and all 3605 Chinneroth 3672, besides 5921 all 3605 the land 776 of Naphtali 5321.

 15:21 When Baasha 1201 heard 8085 [of it], he ceased 2308 fortifying 1129 Ramah 7414 and remained 3427 in Tirzah 8656.

 15:22 Then King 4428 Asa 609 made 8085 a proclamation 8085 to all 3605 Judah 3063—none 369 was exempt 5355a—and they carried 5375 away the stones 68 of Ramah 7414 and its timber 6086 with which 834 Baasha 1201 had built 1129. And King 4428 Asa 609 built 1129 with them Geba 1387 of Benjamin 1144 and Mizpah 4709.

 15:23 ¶ Now the rest 3499a of all 3605 the acts 1697 of Asa 609 and all 3605 his might 1369 and all 3605 that he did 6213a and the cities 5892b which 834 he built 1129, are they not written 3789 in the Book 5612 of the Chronicles 1697 3117 of the Kings 4428 of Judah 3063? But in the time 6256 of his old 2209 age 2209 he was diseased 2470a in his feet 7272.

 15:24 And Asa 609 slept 7901 with his fathers 1 and was buried 6912 with his fathers 1 in the city 5892b of David 1732 his father 1; and Jehoshaphat 3092 his son 1121 reigned 4427a in his place 8478.

 15:25 ¶ Now Nadab 5070 the son 1121 of Jeroboam 3379 became 4427a king 4427a over 5921 Israel 3478 in the second 8147 year 8141 of Asa 609 king 4428 of Judah 3063, and he reigned 4427a over 5921 Israel 3478 two 8147 years 8141.

 15:26 He did 6213a evil 7451a in the sight 5869 of the LORD 3068, and walked 1980 in the way 1870 of his father 1 and in his sin 2403b which 834 he made Israel 3478 sin 2398.

 15:27 Then Baasha 1201 the son 1121 of Ahijah 281 of the house 1004 of Issachar 3485 conspired 7194 against 5921 him, and Baasha 1201 struck 5221 him down 5221 at Gibbethon 1405, which 834 belonged to the Philistines 6430, while Nadab 5070 and all 3605 Israel 3478 were laying 6696a siege 6696a to Gibbethon 1405.

 15:28 ¶ So Baasha 1201 killed 4191 him in the third 7969 year 8141 of Asa 609 king 4428 of Judah 3063 and reigned 4427a in his place 8478.

 15:29 It came 1961 about as soon as he was king 4427a, he struck 5221 down 5221 all 3605 the household 1004 of Jeroboam 3379. He did not leave 7604 to Jeroboam 3379 any 3605 persons 5397 alive 5397, until 5704 he had destroyed 8045 them, according to the word 1697 of the LORD 3068, which 834 He spoke 1696 by His servant 5650 Ahijah 281 the Shilonite 7888,

 15:30 [and] because 5921 of the sins 2403b of Jeroboam 3379 which 834 he sinned 2398, and which 834 he made Israel 3478 sin 2398, because of his provocation 3708a with which 834 he provoked 3707 the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel 3478 to anger 3708a.

 15:31 ¶ Now the rest 3499a of the acts 1697 of Nadab 5070 and all 3605 that he did 6213a, are they not written 3789 in the Book 5612 of the Chronicles 1697 3117 of the Kings 4428 of Israel 3478?

 15:32 There was war 4421 between 996 Asa 609 and Baasha 1201 king 4428 of Israel 3478 all 3605 their days 3117.

 15:33 ¶ In the third 7969 year 8141 of Asa 609 king 4428 of Judah 3063, Baasha 1201 the son 1121 of Ahijah 281 became 4427a king 4427a over 5921 all 3605 Israel 3478 at Tirzah 8656, [and reigned] twenty-four 6242 702 years 8141.

 15:34 He did 6213a evil 7451a in the sight 5869 of the LORD 3068, and walked 1980 in the way 1870 of Jeroboam 3379 and in his sin 2403b which 834 he made Israel 3478 sin 2398.
