1 Peter 1

1 He blesseth God for his manifold spiritual graces: 10 shewing that the salvation in Christ is no news, but a thing prophesied of old: 13 and exhorteth them accordingly to a godly conversation, forasmuch as they are now born anew by the Word of God.

 1:4 to [obtain] an inheritance 2817 [which is] imperishable 862a and undefiled 283 and will not fade 263 away 263, reserved 5083 in heaven 3772 for you,

 1:5 who are protected 5432 by the power 1411 of God 2316 through 1223 faith 4102 for a salvation 4991 ready 2092 to be revealed 601 in the last 2078 time 2540.

 1:6 In this 3739 you greatly 21 rejoice 21, even though now 737 for a little 3641 while 3641, if 1487 necessary 1189b, you have been distressed 3076 by various 4164 trials 3986,

 1:7 so 2443 that the proof 1383 of your faith 4102, [being] more 4186 precious 4186 than gold 5553 which is perishable 622, even 1161 though 1161 tested 1381a by fire 4442, may be found 2147 to result 1519 in praise 1868 and glory 1391 and honor 5092 at the revelation 602 of Jesus 2424 Christ 5547;

 1:8 and though you have not seen 3708 Him, you love 25 Him, and though you do not see 3708 Him now 737, but believe 4100 in Him, you greatly 21 rejoice 21 with joy 5479 inexpressible 412 and full 1392 of glory 1392,

 1:9 obtaining 2865 as the outcome 5056 of your faith 4102 the salvation 4991 of your souls 5590.

 1:10 ¶ As to this 3739 salvation 4991, the prophets 4396 who prophesied 4395 of the grace 5485 that [would come] to you made 1567a 1830 careful 1567a 1830 searches 1567a and inquiries 1830,

 1:13 ¶ Therefore 1352, prepare 328 your minds 1271 for action, keep 3525 sober 3525 [in spirit], fix 1679 your hope 1679 completely 5049 on the grace 5485 to be brought 5342 to you at the revelation 602 of Jesus 2424 Christ 5547.

 1:14 As obedient 5218 children 5043, do not be conformed 4964 to the former 4387 lusts 1939 [which were yours] in your ignorance 52,

 1:15 but like 2596 the Holy 40 One 40 who called 2564 you, be holy 40 yourselves 846 also 2532 in all 3956 [your] behavior 391;

 1:16 because 1360 it is written 1125, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY 40, FOR I AM HOLY 40.”

 1:17 ¶ If 1487 you address 1941 as Father 3962 the One who impartially 678 judges 2919 according 2596 to each 1538 one’s 1538 work 2041, conduct 390 yourselves in fear 5401 during the time 5550 of your stay 3940 [on earth];

 1:18 knowing 3609a that you were not redeemed 3084 with perishable 5349 things 5349 like silver 694 or 2228 gold 5553 from your futile 3152 way 391 of life 391 inherited 3970b from your forefathers 3970b,

 1:19 but with precious 5093 blood 129, as of a lamb 286 unblemished 299b and spotless 784, [the blood] of Christ 5547.

 1:20 For He was foreknown 4267 before 4253 the foundation 2602 of the world 2889, but has appeared 5319 in these 3588 last 2078 times 5550 for the sake 1223 of you

 1:21 who through 1223 Him are believers 4103 in God 2316, who raised 1453 Him from the dead 3498 and gave 1325 Him glory 1391, so 5620 that your faith 4102 and hope 1680 are in God 2316.

 1:22 ¶ Since you have in obedience 5218 to the truth 225 purified 48 your souls 5590 for a sincere 505 love 5360 of the brethren 5360, fervently 1619 love 25 one 240 another 240 from the heart 2588,

 1:23 for you have been born 313 again 313 not of seed 4701 which 5349 is perishable 5349 but imperishable 862a, [that is], through 1223 the living 2198 and enduring 3306 word 3056 of God 2316.

 1:24 For, “ALL 3956 FLESH 4561 IS LIKE 5613 GRASS 5528, AND ALL 3956 ITS GLORY 1391 LIKE 5613 THE FLOWER 438 OF GRASS 5528. THE GRASS 5528 WITHERS 3583, AND THE FLOWER 438 FALLS 1601b OFF 1601b,

 1:25 BUT THE WORD 4487 OF THE LORD 2962 ENDURES 3306 FOREVER 165.” And this 3778 is the word 4487 which was preached 2097 to you.
