Philemon 1

4 He rejoiceth to hear of the faith and love of Philemon, 9 whom he desireth to forgive his servant Onesimus, and lovingly to receive him again.

 1:1 Paul 3972, a prisoner 1198 of Christ 5547 Jesus 2424, and Timothy 5095 our brother 80, ¶ To Philemon 5371 our beloved 27 [brother] and fellow 4904 worker 4904,

 1:2 and to Apphia 682 our sister 79, and to Archippus 751 our fellow 4961 soldier 4961, and to the church 1577 in your house 3624:

 1:3 Grace 5485 to you and peace 1515 from God 2316 our Father 3962 and the Lord 2962 Jesus 2424 Christ 5547.

 1:4 ¶ I thank 2168 my God 2316 always 3842, making 4160 mention 3417 of you in my prayers 4335,

 1:5 because I hear 191 of your love 26 and of the faith 4102 which 3739 you have 2192 toward 4314 the Lord 2962 Jesus 2424 and toward 1519 all 3956 the saints 40;

 1:6 [and I pray] that the fellowship 2842 of your faith 4102 may become 1096 effective 1756 through 1722 the knowledge 1922 of every 3956 good 18 thing 18 which is in you for Christ’s 5547 sake 1519.

 1:7 For I have come to have 2192 much 4183 joy 5479 and comfort 3874 in your love 26, because 3754 the hearts 4698 of the saints 40 have been refreshed 373 through 1223 you, brother 80.

 1:8 ¶ Therefore 1352, though I have 2192 enough 4183 confidence 3954 in Christ 5547 to order 2004 you [to do] what 3588 is proper 433,

 1:9 yet for love’s 26 sake 1223 I rather 3123 appeal 3870 [to you]—since I am 1510 such 5108 a person 5108 as Paul 3972, the aged 4246, and now 3570 also 2532 a prisoner 1198 of Christ 5547 Jesus 2424—

 1:10 I appeal 3870 to you for my child 5043 Onesimus 3682, whom 3739 I have begotten 1080 in my imprisonment 1199,

 1:11 who formerly 4218 was useless 890 to you, but now 3570 is useful 2173 both 2532 to you and to me.

 1:12 I have sent 375 him back 375 to you in person 846, that is, [sending] my very heart 4698,

 1:13 whom 3739 I wished 1014 to keep 2722 with me, so 2443 that on your behalf 5228 he might minister 1247 to me in my imprisonment 1199 for the gospel 2098;

 1:14 but without 5565 your consent 1106 I did not want 2309 to do 4160 anything 3762, so 2443 that your goodness 18 would not be, in effect 2596, by compulsion 318 but of your own free 1595 will 1595.

 1:15 For perhaps 5029 he was for this 3778 reason 1223 separated 5563 [from you] for a while 5610, that you would have 568 him back 568 forever 166,

 1:16 no 3765 longer 3765 as a slave 1401, but more 5228 than 5228 a slave 1401, a beloved 27 brother 80, especially 3122 to me, but how 4214 much 4214 more 3123 to you, both 2532 in the flesh 4561 and in the Lord 2962.

 1:17 ¶ If 1487 then 3767 you regard 2192 me a partner 2844, accept 4355 him as [you would] me.

 1:18 But if 1487 he has wronged 91 you in any 5100 way 5100 or 2228 owes 3784 you anything 5100, charge 1677 that to my account 1677;

 1:19 I, Paul 3972, am writing 1125 this with my own 1699 hand 5495, I will repay 661 it (not to mention 3004 to you that you owe 4359 to me even 2532 your own 4572 self 4572 as well 4359).

 1:20 Yes 3483a, brother 80, let me benefit 3685 from you in the Lord 2962; refresh 373 my heart 4698 in Christ 5547.

 1:21 ¶ Having 3982 confidence 3982 in your obedience 5218, I write 1125 to you, since I know 3609a that you will do 4160 even 2532 more 5228 than 5228 what 3739 I say 3004.

 1:22 ¶ At the same 260 time 260 also 2532 prepare 2090 me a lodging 3578, for I hope 1679 that through 1223 your prayers 4335 I will be given 5483 to you.
