For, behold, in those days and at that time, when I shall have turned the captivity of Judah{gr.Juda} and Jerusalem, |

I will also gather all the Gentiles, and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat{gr.Josaphat}, and will plead with them there for my people and my heritage Israel, who have been dispersed among the Gentiles; and [these Gentiles] have divided my land, |

the valleyº
of Jehoshaphat,º
and will pleadºº
withº
them thereº
forº
my peopleº
and [for] my heritageº
Israel,º
whomº
they have scatteredºº
among the nations,º
and partedºº

and cast lots over my people, and have given [their] boys to harlots, and sold [their] girls for wine, and have drunk. |

And they have castºº
lotsº
forº
my people;º
and have givenºº
a boyº
for an harlot,ºº
and soldºº
a girlº
for wine,º
that they might drink.ºº |

And what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon{gr.Sidon}, and all Galilee of the Gentiles? do ye render me a recompense? or do ye bear malice against me? quickly and speedily will I return your recompense on your own heads: |

Yea,º
and whatº
have yeº
to do with me, O Tyre,º
and Zidon,º
and allº
the coastsº
of Palestine?º
will yeº
renderººº
me a recompence?º
and ifº
yeº
recompenseººº
me, swiftlyº
[and] speedilyº
will I returnºº
your recompenceº
upon your own head;º |

because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and ye have brought my choice ornaments into your temples; |

and have carriedºº
into your templesº
my goodlyº
pleasant things:º |

and ye have sold the children of Judah{gr.Juda} and the children of Jerusalem to the children of the Greeks, that ye might expel them from their coasts. |

The childrenº
also of Judahº
and the childrenº
of Jerusalemº
have ye soldºº
unto the Grecians,ºº
thatº
ye might remove them farºº
fromºº
their border.º |

Therefore, behold, I [will] raise them up out of the place whither ye have sold them, and I will return your recompense on your own heads. |

And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hands of the children of Judah{gr.Juda}, and they shall sell them into captivity to a far distant nation: for the Lord has spoken [it]. |

of Judah,º
and they shall sellºº
them to the Sabeans,º

a peopleº

hath spokenºº

Proclaim these things among the Gentiles; declare war, arouse the warriors, draw near and go up, all ye men of war. |

Beat your ploughshares into swords, and your sickles into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. |

Gather yourselves together, and go in, all ye nations round about, and gather yourselves there; let the timid become a warrior. |

cause thy mighty onesº
to come down,ºº

Let them be aroused, let all the nations go up to the valley of Jehoshaphat{gr.Josaphat}: for there will I sit to judge all the Gentiles round about. |

the valleyº
of Jehoshaphat:º

Bring forth the sickles, for the vintage is come: go in, tread [the grapes], for the press is full: cause the vats to overflow; for their wickedness is multiplied. |

the fatsº

Noises have resounded in the valley of judgment: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of judgment. |

of decision:º

the dayº
of Yahwehº
[is] nearº
in the valleyº

3:15
The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their light. |

shall withdrawºº
their shining.º |

3:16
And the Lord shall cry out of Zion{gr.Sion}, and shall utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heaven and the earth shall be shaken, but the Lord shall spare his people, and shall strengthen the children of Israel. |

also shall roarºº
out of Zion,ºº
and utterºº
his voiceº
from Jerusalem;ºº
and the heavensº
and the earthº
shall shake:ºº
but Yahwehº
[will be] the hopeº
of his people,º
and the strengthº
of the childrenº
of Israel.º |

And ye shall know that I am the Lord your God, who dwell in Zion{gr.Sion} my holy mountain: and Jerusalem shall be holy, and strangers shall not pass through her anymore. |

So shall ye knowºº

Iº
[am] Yahwehº
your Elohimº
dwellingºº
in Zion,º
my holyº
mountain:º
then shall Jerusalemº
beº
holy,º
and there shall noº
strangersºº
pass throughºº
her any more.º |

3:18 ¶
And it shall come to pass in that day [that] the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the fountains of Judah{gr.Juda} shall flow with water, and a fountain shall go forth of the house of the Lord, and water the valley of flags. |

And it shall come to passº
in thatº
day,º
[that] the mountainsº
shall drop downºº
new wine,º
and the hillsº
shall flowººº
with milk,º
and allº
the riversº
of Judahº
shall flowººº
with waters,º
and a fountainº
shall come forthºº
of the houseºº
of Yahweh,º
and shall waterººº
the valleyº
of Shittim.º |

Mizraim{gr.Egypt} shall be a desolation, and Edom{gr.Idumea} shall be a desolate plain, because of the wrongs of the children of Judah{gr.Juda}, because they have shed righteous blood in their land. |

wilderness,º

the violenceº
[against] the childrenº
of Judah,º
becauseº
they have shedºº
innocentº
bloodº
in their land.º |

But Judah{gr.Judea} shall be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem to all generations. |

shall dwellºº
for ever,º
and Jerusalemº
from generationº
to generation.º |

And I will make inquisition for their blood, and will by no means leave it unavenged: and the Lord shall dwell in Zion{gr.Sion}. |

For I will cleanseºº
their bloodº
[that] I have notº
cleansed:ºº
for Yahwehº
dwellethºº
in Zion.º |
