make [thy] loinsº

He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make [thy] loins strong, fortify [thy] power mightily. |

as the excellencyº

יִשׂרָאֵל:º

the emptiersºº
have emptiedº
them out,ºº
and marredºº
their vine branches.º |

For Yahweh hath turned away the excellency of Yaaqov, as the excellency of Yisrael: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches. |

The shieldº
of his mighty menº
is made red,ºº
the valiantº
menºº
[are] in scarlet:ºº
the chariotsº
[shall be] with flamingº
torchesº
in the dayº
of his preparation,ºº
and the fir treesº
shall be terribly shaken.ºº |

The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men [are] in scarlet: the chariots [shall be] with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken. |

in the streets,º
they shall justle one against anotherºº
in the broad ways:º
they shall seemº
like torches,º
they shall runºº
like the lightnings.º |

in their walk;º
they shall make hasteºº

for his whelps,º

for his lionesses,º
and filledºº
his holesº
with prey,º
and his densº

I [am] againstº
thee, saithºº

צְבָאוֹת,º
and I will burnºº
her chariotsº
in the smoke,º
and the swordº
shall devourºº
thy young lions:º
and I will cut offºº
thy preyº
from the earth,ºº
and the voiceº
of thy messengersº
shall noº
moreº
be heard.ºº |

Behold, I [am] against thee, saith Yahweh Tzevaoth, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard. |
