 12:1 ¶ Now these [are] the priests and the Lewiyyim that went up with Zerubbavel the son of Shealtiel, and Yeshua: Serayah, Yirmeyah, Ezrah,

 12:2 ´Ámaryà אֲמַריָה,° Mallûȼ מַלּוּך,° Çaţţûš חַטּוּשׁ,°

 12:2 Amaryah, Mallukh, Chattush,

 12:7 Sallu, Amoq, Chilqiyyah, Yedayah. These [were] the chief of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Yeshua.

 12:8 Moreover the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם:° Yëšûå` יֵשׁוּעַ,° Binnûy בִּנּוּי,° Kađmî´ël קַדמִיאֵל,° Šërëvyà שֵׁרֵביָה,° Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה,° [and] Mattanyà מַתַּניָה,° [which was] over° the thanksgiving,° he° and his brethren.°

 12:8 Moreover the Lewiyyim: Yeshua, Binnuy, Qadmiel, Sherevyah, Yehudah, [and] Mattanyah, [which was] over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.

 12:9 Also Bakbukyà בַּקבֻּקיָה° and `Unnî עֻנִּי,° their brethren,° [were] over against° them in the watches.°

 12:9 Also Baqbuqyah and Unni, their brethren, [were] over against them in the watches.

 12:10 ¶ And Yëšûå` יֵשׁוּעַ° begat°°° Yôyäkîm יוֹיָקִים,° Yôyäkîm יוֹיָקִים° also begat°°° ´Elyäšîv אֶליָשִׁיב,° and ´Elyäšîv אֶליָשִׁיב° begat°°° Yôyäđä` יוֹיָדָע,°

 12:10 ¶ And Yeshua begat Yoyaqim, Yoyaqim also begat Elyashiv, and Elyashiv begat Yoyada,

 12:11 And Yôyäđä` יוֹיָדָע° begat°°° Yæhônäŧän יְהוֹנָתָן,° and Yæhônäŧän יְהוֹנָתָן° begat°°° Yaddûå` יַדּוּעַ.°

 12:11 And Yoyada begat Yehonathan, and Yehonathan begat Yaddua.

 12:22 ¶ The Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם° in the days° of ´Elyäšîv אֶליָשִׁיב,° Yôyäđä` יוֹיָדָע,° and Yôçänän יוֹחָנָן,° and Yaddûå` יַדּוּעַ,° [were] recorded°° chief° of the fathers:° also the priests,° to° the reign° of Däryäweš דָּריָוֶשׁ° the Pärsî פָּרסִי.°

 12:22 ¶ The Lewiyyim in the days of Elyashiv, Yoyada, and Yochanan, and Yaddua, [were] recorded chief of the fathers: also the priests, to the reign of Daryawesh the Parsi.

 12:23 The sons° of Lëwî לֵוִי,° the chief° of the fathers,° [were] written°° in° the book° of the chronicles,° even until° the days° of Yôçänän יוֹחָנָן° the son° of ´Elyäšîv אֶליָשִׁיב.°

 12:23 The sons of Lewi, the chief of the fathers, [were] written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Yochanan the son of Elyashiv.

 12:24 And the chief° of the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם:° Çášavyà חֲשַׁביָה,° Šërëvyà שֵׁרֵביָה,° and Yëšûå` יֵשׁוּעַ° the son° of Kađmî´ël קַדמִיאֵל,° with their brethren° over against° them, to praise°° [and] to give thanks,°° according to the commandment° of Däwiđ דָּוִד° the man° of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים,° ward° over against° ward.°

 12:24 And the chief of the Lewiyyim: Chashavyah, Sherevyah, and Yeshua the son of Qadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise [and] to give thanks, according to the commandment of Dawid the man of Elohim, ward over against ward.

 12:25 Mattanyà מַתַּניָה,° and Bakbukyà בַּקבֻּקיָה,° `Övađyà עֹבַדיָה,° Mæšulläm מְשֻׁלָּם,° Ţalmôn טַלמוֹן,° `Akkûv עַקּוּב,° [were] porters° keeping°° the ward° at the thresholds° of the gates.°

 12:25 Mattanyah, and Baqbuqyah, Ovadyah, Meshullam, Talmon, Aqquv, [were] porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.

 12:26 These° [were] in the days° of Yôyäkîm יוֹיָקִים° the son° of Yëšûå` יֵשׁוּעַ,° the son° of Yôxäđäk יוֹצָדָק,° and in the days° of Næçemyà נְחֶמיָה° the governor,° and of `Ezrà עֶזרָה° the priest,° the scribe.°°

 12:26 These [were] in the days of Yoyaqim the son of Yeshua, the son of Yotzadaq, and in the days of Nechemyah the governor, and of Ezrah the priest, the scribe.

 12:27 ¶ And at the dedication° of the wall° of Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם° they sought°°° the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם° out of all°° their places,° to bring°° them to Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם,° to keep°° the dedication° with gladness,° both with thanksgivings,° and with singing,° [with] cymbals,° psalteries,° and with harps.°

 12:27 ¶ And at the dedication of the wall of Yerushalaim they sought the Lewiyyim out of all their places, to bring them to Yerushalaim, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, [with] cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.

 12:28 And the sons° of the singers°° gathered themselves together,°° both out of° the plain country° round about° Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם,° and from° the villages° of Næţôfäŧî נְטוֹפָתִי;°

 12:28 And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Yerushalaim, and from the villages of Netofathi;

 12:29 Also from the house°° of Gilgäl גִּלגָּל,°°° and out of the fields°° of Geva` גֶּבַע° and `Azmäweŧ עַזמָוֶת:° for° the singers°° had builded°° them villages° round about° Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם.°

 12:29 Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geva and Azmaweth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Yerushalaim.

 12:30 And the priests° and the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם° purified°° themselves,° and purified°°° the people,° and the gates,° and the wall.°

 12:30 And the priests and the Lewiyyim purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

 12:31 Then I brought up°°° the princes° of Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה° upon°° the wall,° and appointed°° two° great° [companies of them that gave] thanks,° [whereof one]° went°° on the right hand° upon°° the wall° toward the dung° gate:°

 12:32 And after° them went°°° Hôša`yà הוֹשַׁעיָה,° and half° of the princes° of Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה,°

 12:32 And after them went Hoshayah, and half of the princes of Yehudah,

 12:33 And `Ázaryà עֲזַריָה,° `Ezrà עֶזרָה,° and Mæšulläm מְשֻׁלָּם,°

 12:33 And Azaryah, Ezrah, and Meshullam,

 12:34 Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה,° and Binyämîn בִּניָמִין,° and Šæma`yà שְׁמַעיָה,° and Yirmæyà יִרמְיָה,°

 12:34 Yehudah, and Binyamin, and Shemayah, and Yirmeyah,

 12:35 And [certain] of the priests'° sons°°° with trumpets;° [namely], Zæȼaryà זְכַריָה° the son° of Yæhônäŧän יְהוֹנָתָן,° the son° of Šæma`yà שְׁמַעיָה,° the son° of Mattanyà מַתַּניָה,° the son° of Mîȼäyà מִיכָיָה,° the son° of Zaccûr זַכּוּר,° the son° of ´Äsäf אָסָף:°

 12:35 And [certain] of the priests' sons with trumpets; [namely], Zekharyah the son of Yehonathan, the son of Shemayah, the son of Mattanyah, the son of Mikhayah, the son of Zakkur, the son of Asaf:

 12:36 And his brethren,° Šæma`yà שְׁמַעיָה,° and `Ázar´ël עֲזַראֵל,° Milálay מִלֲלַי,° Gilálay גִּלֲלַי,° Mä`ay מָעַי,° Næŧan´ël נְתַנאֵל,° and Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה,° Çánänî חֲנָנִי,° with the musical° instruments° of Däwiđ דָּוִד° the man° of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים,° and `Ezrà עֶזרָה° the scribe°° before° them.

 12:36 And his brethren, Shemayah, and Azarel, Milalay, Gilalay, Maay, Nethanel, and Yehudah, Chanani, with the musical instruments of Dawid the man of Elohim, and Ezrah the scribe before them.

 12:37 And at° the fountain° gate,° which was over against° them, they went up°° by° the stairs° of the city° of Däwiđ דָּוִד,° at the going up° of the wall,° above°° the house° of Däwiđ דָּוִד,° even unto° the water° gate° eastward.°

 12:37 And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of Dawid, at the going up of the wall, above the house of Dawid, even unto the water gate eastward.

 12:38 And the other° [company of them that gave] thanks° went°° over against° [them], and I° after° them, and the half° of the people° upon°° the wall,° from beyond°° the tower° of the furnaces° even unto° the broad° wall;°

 12:38 And the other [company of them that gave] thanks went over against [them], and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;

 12:39 And from above°° the gate° of ´Efrayim אֶפרַיִם,° and above° the old° gate,° and above° the fish° gate,° and the tower° of Çánan´ël חֲנַנאֵל,° and the tower° of Më´à מֵאָה,° even unto° the sheep° gate:° and they stood still°° in the prison° gate.°

 12:39 And from above the gate of Efrayim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Chananel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.

 12:40 So stood°° the two° [companies of them that gave] thanks° in the house° of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים,° and I,° and the half° of the rulers° with° me:

 12:40 So stood the two [companies of them that gave] thanks in the house of Elohim, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:

 12:41 And the priests;° ´Elyäkîm אֶליָקִים,° Ma`áŝëyà מַעֲשֵׂיָה,° Minyämîn מִניָמִין,° Mîȼäyà מִיכָיָה,° ´Elyô`ênay אֶליוֹעֵינַי,° Zæȼaryà זְכַריָה,° [and] Çánanyà חֲנַניָה,° with trumpets;°

 12:41 And the priests; Elyaqim, Maaseyah, Minyamin, Mikhayah, Elyoenay, Zekharyah, [and] Chananyah, with trumpets;

 12:42 And Ma`áŝëyà מַעֲשֵׂיָה,° and Šæma`yà שְׁמַעיָה,° and ´El`äzär אֶלעָזָר,° and `Uzzî עֻזִּי,° and Yæhôçänän יְהוֹחָנָן,° and Malciyyà מַלכִּיָּה,° and `Êläm עֵילָם,° and ´Ëxer אֵצֶר.° And the singers°° sang loud,°° with Yizraçyà יִזרַחיָה° [their] overseer.°

 12:42 And Maaseyah, and Shemayah, and Elazar, and Uzzi, and Yehochanan, and Malkiyyah, and Elam, and Etzer. And the singers sang loud, with Yizrachyah [their] overseer.

 12:43 Also that° day° they offered°° great° sacrifices,° and rejoiced:°° for° ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים° had made them rejoice°° with great° joy:° the wives° also° and the children° rejoiced:°° so that the joy° of Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם° was heard°° even afar off.°°

 12:43 Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for Elohim had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Yerushalaim was heard even afar off.

 12:44 ¶ And at that° time° were some°° appointed°° over° the chambers° for the treasures,° for the offerings,° for the firstfruits,° and for the tithes,° to gather°° into them out of the fields° of the cities° the portions° of the law° for the priests° and Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם:° for° Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה° rejoiced° for° the priests° and for° the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם° that waited.°°

 12:44 ¶ And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Lewiyyim: for Yehudah rejoiced for the priests and for the Lewiyyim that waited.

 12:45 And both the singers°° and the porters° kept°° the ward° of their ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים,° and the ward° of the purification,° according to the commandment° of Däwiđ דָּוִד,° [and] of Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° his son.°

 12:45 And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their Elohim, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of Dawid, [and] of Shelomoh his son.

 12:46 For° in the days° of Däwiđ דָּוִד° and ´Äsäf אָסָף° of old°° [there were] chief° of the singers,°° and songs° of praise° and thanksgiving°° unto ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים.°

 12:46 For in the days of Dawid and Asaf of old [there were] chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto Elohim.

 12:47 And all° Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל° in the days° of Zærubbävel זְרֻבָּבֶל,° and in the days° of Næçemyà נְחֶמיָה,° gave°° the portions° of the singers°° and the porters,° every day° his portion:° and they sanctified°° [holy things] unto the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם;° and the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם° sanctified°° [them] unto the children° of ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן.°

 12:47 And all Yisrael in the days of Zerubbavel, and in the days of Nechemyah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified [holy things] unto the Lewiyyim; and the Lewiyyim sanctified [them] unto the children of Aharon.
