 13:1 ¶ Let love of the brethren continue.

 13:1 ¶ Letºº brotherly loveº continue.ºº

 13:2 Forget not to show love unto strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

 13:2 Beºº notº forgetfulººº to entertain strangers:º forº therebyºº someº have entertainedºº angelsº unawares.ºº

 13:3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; them that are illtreated, as being yourselves also in the body.

 13:3 Rememberºº them that are in bonds,º asº bound withº them;ºº [and] them which suffer adversity,ºº asº beingºº yourselvesºº alsoº inº the body.º

 13:4 [Let] marriage [be] had in honor among all, and [let] the bed [be] undefiled: for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

 13:4 Marriageº [is] honourableº inº all,º andº theº bedº undefiled:º butº whoremongersº andº adulterersº Godº will judge.ººº

 13:5 Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.

 13:5 [Let your] conversationº [be] without covetousness;º [and be] contentºº with such things as ye have:ºº forº heº hath said,ºº I will neverº leaveºº thee,º norºº forsakeºº thee.º

 13:6 So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What shall man do unto me?

 13:6 So thatº weº may boldlyºº say,ºº The Lordº [is] myº helper,º andº I willºº notº fearºº whatº manº shall doºº unto me.º

 13:7 Remember them that had the rule over you, men that spake unto you the word of God; and considering the issue of their life, imitate their faith.

 13:7 Rememberºº them which have the ruleºº overº you,º whoº have spokenºº unto youº theº wordº of God:º whoseº faithº follow,ºº consideringºº theº endº of [their] conversation.º

 13:8 Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday and to-day, [yea] and for ever.

 13:8 Jesusº Christº theº sameº yesterday,º andº to day,º andº forº ever.ºº

 13:9 Be not carried away by divers and strange teachings: for it is good that the heart be established by grace; not by meats, wherein they that occupied themselves were not profited.

 13:9 Beºº notº carried aboutºº with diversº andº strangeº doctrines.º Forº [it is] a good thingº that theº heartº be establishedºº with grace;º notº with meats,º whichº haveºº notº profitedºº them that have been occupiedºº therein.ººº

 13:10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat that serve the tabernacle.

 13:10 We haveºº an altar,º whereofºº they haveºº noº rightº to eatºº which serveºº theº tabernacle.º

 13:11 For the bodies of those beasts whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest [as an offering] for sin, are burned without the camp.

 13:11 Forº theº bodiesº of thoseº beasts,º whoseº bloodº is broughtºº intoº theº sanctuaryº byº theº high priestº forº sin,º are burnedºº withoutº theº camp.º

 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered without the gate.

 13:12 Whereforeº Jesusº also,º thatº he might sanctifyºº theº peopleº withº his ownº blood,º sufferedºº withoutº theº gate.º

 13:13 Let us therefore go forth unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

 13:13 Let us go forthºº thereforeº untoº himº withoutº theº camp,º bearingºº hisº reproach.º

 13:14 For we have not here an abiding city, but we seek after [the city] which is to come.

 13:14 Forº hereº haveº weºº noº continuingºº city,º butº we seekº oneºº to come.ºº

 13:15 Through him then let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which make confession to his name.

 13:15 Byº himº thereforeº let us offerºº the sacrificeº of praiseº to Godº continually,º that is,ºº the fruitº of [our] lipsº giving thanksºº to hisº name.º

 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

 13:16 Butº to do goodº andº to communicateº forgetºº not:º forº with suchº sacrificesº Godº is well pleased.ºº

 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit [to them]: for they watch in behalf of your souls, as they that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief: for this [were] unprofitable for you.

 13:17 Obeyºº them that have the ruleºº overº you,º andº submitº yourselves:ºº forº theyº watchºº forº yourº souls,º asº they that must giveºº account,º thatº they may doºº itº withº joy,º andº notº with grief:ºº forº thatº [is] unprofitableº for you.º

 13:18 Pray for us: for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things.

 13:18 Prayºº forº us:º forºº we trustºº weº haveºº a goodº conscience,º inº all thingsº willingºº to liveºº honestly.ºº

 13:19 And I exhort [you] the more exceedingly to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

 13:19 Butº I beseechºº [you] the ratherº to doºº this,º thatº I may be restoredºº to youº the sooner.º

 13:20 Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, [even] our Lord Jesus,

 13:20 Nowº theº Godº of peace,º that brought againºº fromº the deadº ourº Lordº Jesus,º that greatº shepherdº of theº sheep,º throughº the bloodº of the everlastingº covenant,º

 13:21 make you perfect in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

 13:21 Makeºº youº perfectººº inº everyº goodº workº toº doºº hisºº will,º workingºº inº youº that which is wellpleasingº in hisº sight,ºº throughº Jesusº Christ;º to whomº [be] gloryº forº everº and ever.ºº Amen.º

 13:22 But I exhort you, brethren, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have written unto you in few words.

 13:22 Andº I beseechºº you,º brethren,º sufferºº theº wordº of exhortation:º forºº I haveº written a letterºº unto youº inº few words.º

 13:23 Know ye that our brother Timothy hath been set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

 13:23 Knowº yeººº that [our] brotherº Timothyº is set at liberty;ºº withº whom,º ifº he comeºº shortly,º I will seeºº you.º

 13:24 Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.

 13:24 Saluteºº allº them that have the ruleºº overº you,º andº allº theº saints.º Theyº ofº Italyº saluteºº you.º

 13:25 Grace be with you all. Amen.
