1 The love of the Church to Christ. 6 The vehemency of love. 8 The calling of the Gentiles. 14 The Church prayeth for Christ's coming.

 8:1 “Oh 4310 5414 that you were like a brother 251 to me Who nursed 3243 at my mother’s 517 breasts 7699a. [If] I found 4672 you outdoors 2351, I would kiss 5401a you; No 3808 one would despise 936 me, either 1571.

 8:2 “I would lead 5090a you [and] bring 935 you Into the house 1004 of my mother 517, who used to instruct 3925 me; I would give 8248 you spiced 7544 wine 3196 to drink 8248 from the juice 6071 of my pomegranates 7416.

 8:3 “Let his left 8040 hand 8040 be under 8478 my head 7218 And his right 3225 hand 3225 embrace 2263 me.”

 8:4 ¶ “I want you to swear 7650, O daughters 1323 of Jerusalem 3389, Do not arouse 5782 or awaken 5782 [my] love 160 Until 5704 she pleases 2654a.”

 8:5 ¶ “Who 4310 is this 384 coming 5927 up from the wilderness 4057b Leaning 7514b on her beloved 1730?” ¶ “Beneath 8478 the apple 8598 tree 8598 I awakened 5782 you; There 8033 your mother 517 was in labor 2254a with you, There 8033 she was in labor 2254a [and] gave 3205 you birth 3205.

 8:6 “Put 7760 me like a seal 2368 over 5921 your heart 3820, Like a seal 2368 on your arm 2220. For love 160 is as strong 5794 as death 4194, Jealousy 7068 is as severe 7186 as Sheol 7585; Its flashes 7565 are flashes 7565 of fire 784, The [very] flame 7957 of the LORD 3050.

 8:7 “Many 7227a waters 4325 cannot 3201 3808 quench 3518 love 160, Nor 3808 will rivers 5104 overflow 7857 it; If 518 a man 376 were to give 5414 all 3605 the riches 1952 of his house 1004 for love 160, It would be utterly 936 despised 936.”

 8:8 ¶ “We have a little 6996a sister 269, And she has 369 no 369 breasts 7699a; What 4100 shall we do 6213a for our sister 269 On the day 3117 when 7945 she is spoken 1696 for?

 8:9 “If 518 she is a wall 2346, We will build 1129 on her a battlement 2918 of silver 3701; But if 518 she is a door 1817, We will barricade 6696a her with planks 3871 of cedar 730.”

 8:10 ¶ “I was a wall 2346, and my breasts 7699a were like towers 4026; Then 227 I became 1961 in his eyes 5869 as one who finds 4672 peace 7965.
