 3:1 ¶ And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Jehovah, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

 3:1 ¶ And he shewedºº meº Joshuaº the highº priestº standingºº beforeº the angelº of the LORD,º and Satanº standingºº atº his right handº to resistºº him.

 3:2 And Jehovah said unto Satan, Jehovah rebuke thee, O Satan; yea, Jehovah that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

 3:2 And the LORDº saidºº untoº Satan,º The LORDº rebukeºº thee, O Satan;º even the LORDº that hath chosenºº Jerusalemº rebukeºº thee: [is] notº thisº a brandº pluckedºº out of the fire?ºº

 3:3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the angel.

 3:3 Now Joshuaº wasº clothedºº with filthyº garments,º and stoodºº beforeº the angel.º

 3:4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take the filthy garments from off him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with rich apparel.

 3:4 And he answeredºº and spakeºº untoº those that stoodºº beforeº him, saying,ºº Take awayºº the filthyº garmentsº fromºº him. And untoº him he said,ºº Behold,ºº I have caused thine iniquityº to passºº fromºº thee, and I will clotheºº thee with change of raiment.º

 3:5 And I said, Let them set a clean mitre upon his head. So they set a clean mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments; and the angel of Jehovah was standing by.

 3:5 And I said,ºº Let them setºº a fairº mitreº uponº his head.º So they setºº a fairº mitreº uponº his head,º and clothedºº him with garments.º And the angelº of the LORDº stood by.ºº

 3:6 And the angel of Jehovah protested unto Joshua, saying,

 3:6 And the angelº of the LORDº protestedºº unto Joshua,º saying,ºº

 3:7 Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou also shalt judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee a place of access among these that stand by.

 3:7 Thusº saithºº the LORDº of hosts;º Ifº thou wilt walkººº in my ways,º and ifº thou wilt keepººº my charge,º then thouº shalt alsoº judgeººº my house,º and shalt alsoº keepºº myº courts,º and I will giveºº thee places to walkºº amongº theseº that standº by.ºº

 3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy fellows that sit before thee; for they are men that are a sign: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.

 3:8 Hearºº now,º O Joshuaº the highº priest,º thou,º and thy fellowsº that sitºº beforeº thee: forº theyº [are] menºº wonderedº at:º for,º behold,º I will bring forthººº my servantº the BRANCH.º

 3:9 For, behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; upon one stone are seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

 3:9 Forº beholdº the stoneº thatº I have laidºº beforeº Joshua;º uponº oneº stoneº [shall be] sevenº eyes:º behold,º I will engraveºº the gravingº thereof, saithºº the LORDº of hosts,º and I will removeººº the iniquityº of thatº landº in oneº day.º

 3:10 In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, shall ye invite every man his neighbor under the vine and under the fig-tree.

 3:10 In thatº day,º saithºº the LORDº of hosts,º shall ye callºº every manº his neighbourº underºº the vineº and underºº the fig tree.º
