 4:1 ¶
And at the last days the mountain of the Lord shall be manifest, established on the tops of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and the peoples shall hasten to it. |
|
 4:1 ¶
But in the lastº
daysº
it shall come to pass,º
[that] the mountainº
of the houseº
of Yahwehº
shall beº
establishedºº
in the topº
of the mountains,º
and itº
shall be exaltedºº
above the hills;ºº
and peopleº
shall flowºº
untoº
it. |
 4:2
And many nations shall go, and say, Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and they shall shew us his way, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion{gr.Sion} shall go forth a law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. |
|
 4:2
And manyº
nationsº
shall come,ºº
and say,ºº
Come,ººº
and let us go upºº
toº
the mountainº
of Yahweh,º
and toº
the houseº
of the Elohimº
of Jacob;º
and he will teachºº
us of his ways,ºº
and we will walkººº
in his paths:º
forº
the lawº
shall go forthºº
of Zion,ºº
and the wordº
of Yahwehº
from Jerusalem.ºº |
 4:3 ¶
And he shall judge among many peoples, and shall rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into sickles; and nation shall no more lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn to war any more. |
|
 4:3 ¶
And he shall judgeºº
amongº
manyº
people,º
and rebukeºº
strongº
nationsº
afar off;ºº
and they shall beatºº
their swordsº
into plowshares,º
and their spearsº
into pruninghooks:º
nationº
shall notº
lift upºº
a swordº
againstº
nation,º
neitherº
shall they learnºº
warº
any more.º |
 4:4
And every one shall rest under his vine, and every one under his fig-tree; and there shall be none to alarm [them]: for the mouth of the Lord Almighty has spoken these [words]. |
|
 4:4
But they shall sitºº
every manº
underº
his vineº
and underº
his fig tree;º
and noneº
shall make [them] afraid:ºº
forº
the mouthº
of Yahwehº
Sabaothº
hath spokenºº
[it]. |
 4:5
For all [other] nations shall walk everyone in his own way, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever. |
|
 4:5
Forº
allº
peopleº
will walkººº
every oneº
in the nameº
of his elohim,º
and weº
will walkººº
in the nameº
of Yahwehº
our Elohimº
for everº
and ever.º |
 4:6
In that day, saith the Lord, I will gather her that is bruised, and will receive her that is cast out, and those whom I rejected. |
|
 4:6
In thatº
day,º
saithºº
Yahweh,º
will I assembleºº
her that halteth,ºº
and I will gatherºº
her that is driven out,ºº
and her thatº
I have afflicted;ºº |
 4:7
And I will make her that was bruised a remnant, and her that was rejected a mighty nation: and the Lord shall reign over them in mount Zion{gr.Sion} from henceforth, even for ever. |
|
 4:7
And I will makeººº
her that haltedºº
a remnant,º
and her that was cast far offºº
a strongº
nation:º
and Yahwehº
shall reignºº
overº
them in mountº
Zionº
from henceforth,ºº
even forº
ever.ºº |
 4:8 ¶
And thou, dark tower of the flock, daughter of Zion{gr.Sion}, on thee the dominion shall come and enter in, [even] the first kingdom from Babylon to the daughter of Jerusalem. |
|
 4:8 ¶
And thou,º
O towerº
of the flock,ººº
the strong holdº
of the daughterº
of Zion,º
untoº
thee shall it come,ºº
even the firstº
dominion;º
the kingdomº
shall comeºº
to the daughterº
of Jerusalem.º |
 4:9
And now, why hast thou known calamities? was there not a king to thee? or has thy counsel perished that pangs as of a woman in travail have seized upon thee? |
|
 4:9
Nowº
whyº
dost thou cryºº
outº
aloud?º
[is there] noº
kingº
in thee? is thy counsellorºº
perished?ºº
forº
pangsº
have takenºº
thee as a woman in travail.ºº |
 4:10
Be in pain, and strengthen thyself, and draw near, O daughter of Zion{gr.Sion}, as a woman in travail: for now thou shalt go forth out of the city, and shalt lodge in the plain, and shalt reach even to Babylon: thence shall the Lord thy God deliver thee, and thence shall he redeem thee out of the hand of thine enemies. |
|
 4:10
Be in pain,ºº
and labour to bring forth,ºº
O daughterº
of Zion,º
like a woman in travail:ºº
forº
nowº
shalt thou go forthºº
out of the city,ºº
and thou shalt dwellºº
in the field,º
and thou shalt goºº
[even] toº
Babylon;º
thereº
shalt thou be delivered;ºº
thereº
Yahwehº
shall redeemºº
thee from the handºº
of thine enemies.ºº |
 4:11 ¶
And now have many nations gathered against thee, saying, We will rejoice, and our eyes shall look upon Zion{gr.Sion}. |
|
 4:11 ¶
Nowº
also manyº
nationsº
are gatheredºº
againstº
thee, that say,ºº
Let her be defiled,ºº
and let our eyeº
lookºº
upon Zion.º |
 4:12
But they know not the thought of the Lord, and have not understood his counsel: for he has gathered them as sheaves of the floor. |
|
 4:12
But theyº
knowºº
notº
the thoughtsº
of Yahweh,º
neitherº
understandºº
they his counsel:º
forº
he shall gatherºº
them as the sheavesº
into the floor.º |
 4:13
Arise, and thresh them, O daughter of Zion{gr.Sion}: for I will make thine horns iron, and I will make thine hoofs brass: and thou shalt utterly destroy many nations, and shalt consecrate their abundance to the Lord, and their strength to the Lord of all the earth. |
|
 4:13
Ariseºº
and thresh,ºº
O daughterº
of Zion:º
forº
I will makeºº
thine hornº
iron,º
and I will makeºº
thy hoofsº
brass:º
and thou shalt beat in piecesºº
manyº
people:º
and I will consecrateºº
their gainº
unto Yahweh,º
and their substanceº
unto Adonº
of the wholeº
earth.º |
