hast thou helpedºº
[him that is] withoutº
power?º
[how] savestºº
thou the armº
[that hath] noº
strength?º |

How hast thou helped [him that is] without power? [how] savest thou the arm [that hath] no strength? |

Howº
hast thou counselledºº
[him that hath] noº
wisdom?º
and [how] hast thou plentifullyº
declaredºº
the thingº
as it is?º |

How hast thou counselled [him that hath] no wisdom? and [how] hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is? |

hast thou utteredºº
words?º
and whoseº
spiritº
cameºº
fromº
thee? |

To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee? |

Deadº
[things] are formedºº
from underºº
the waters,º
and the inhabitantsºº
thereof. |

Dead [things] are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof. |

Hellº
[is] nakedº
beforeº
him, and destructionº
hath noº
covering.º |

Hell [is] naked before him, and destruction hath no covering. |

He stretcheth outºº
the northº
overº
the empty place,º
[and] hangethºº
the earthº
uponº
nothing.º |

He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, [and] hangeth the earth upon nothing. |

He bindeth upºº
the watersº
in his thick clouds;º
and the cloudº
is not rentººº
underº
them. |

He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them. |

He holdeth backºº
the faceº
of his throne,º
[and] spreadethºº
his cloudº
uponº
it. |

He holdeth back the face of his throne, [and] spreadeth his cloud upon it. |
|
26:10
He hath compassedººº
the watersºº
with bounds,º
untilº
the dayº
and nightº
come to an end.º |

He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. |

The pillarsº
of heavenº
trembleºº
and are astonishedºº
at his reproof.ºº |

The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof. |

26:12
He dividethºº
the seaº
with his power,º
and by his understandingºº
he smitethºº
throughº
the proud.º |

26:12
He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud. |

By his spiritº
he hath garnishedºº
the heavens;º
his handº
hath formedººº
the crookedº
serpent.º |

By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. |

Lo,º
theseº
[are] partsº
of his ways:º
but howº
littleº
a portionº
is heardºº
of him? but the thunderº
of his powerº
whoº
can understand?ºº |

Lo, these [are] parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand? |
