וּבָאת אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ וְדִבַּרְתְּ אֵלָיו כַּדָּבָר הַזֶּה וַיָּשֶׂם יוֹאָב אֶת־הַדְּבָרִים בְּפִיהָ

וַיֹּאמֶר־לָהּ הַמֶּלֶךְ מַה־לָּךְ וַתֹּאמֶר אֲבָל אִשָּׁה־אַלְמָנָה אָנִי וַיָּמָת אִישִׁי

וּלְשִׁפְחָתְךָ שְׁנֵי בָנִים וַיִּנָּצוּ שְׁנֵיהֶם בַּשָּׂדֶה וְאֵין מַצִּיל בֵּינֵיהֶם וַיַּכּוֹ הָאֶחָד אֶת־הָאֶחָד וַיָּמֶת אֹתוֹ

וְהִנֵּה קָמָה כָל־הַמִּשְׁפָּחָה עַל־שִׁפְחָתֶךָ וַיֹּאמְרוּ תְּנִי אֶת־מַכֵּה אָחִיו וּנְמִתֵהוּ בְּנֶפֶשׁ אָחִיו אֲשֶׁר הָרָג וְנַשְׁמִידָה גַּם אֶת־הַיּוֹרֵשׁ וְכִבּוּ אֶת־גַּחַלְתִּי אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁאָרָה לְבִלְתִּי *שׂוֹם־ [שִׂים־]לְאִישִׁי שֵׁם וּשְׁאֵרִית עַל־פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה פ

וַתֹּאמֶר הָאִשָּׁה הַתְּקוֹעִית אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ עָלַי אֲדֹנִי הַמֶּלֶךְ הֶעָוֹן וְעַל־בֵּית אָבִי וְהַמֶּלֶךְ וְכִסְאוֹ נָקִי ס

 14:9 And the woman 802 of Tækô`à תְּקוֹעָה 8621 said 559 z8799 unto x413 the king, 4428 My ´áđôn אֲדוֹן, 113 O king, 4428 the iniquity 5771 [be] on x5921 me, and on x5921 my father's 1 house: 1004 and the king 4428 and his throne 3678 [be] guiltless. 5355

וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ הַמְדַבֵּר אֵלַיִךְ וַהֲבֵאתוֹ אֵלַי וְלֹא־יֹסִיף עוֹד לָגַעַת בָּךְ

 14:10 And the king 4428 said, 559 z8799 Whosoever saith 1696 z8764 [ought] unto x413 thee, bring 935 z8689 him to x413 me, and he shall not x3808 touch 5060 z8800 thee any x3254 more. y3254 z8686 x5750

וַתֹּאמֶר יִזְכָּר־נָא הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ *מֵהַרְבִית [מֵהַרְבַּת] גֹּאֵל הַדָּם לְשַׁחֵת וְלֹא יַשְׁמִידוּ אֶת־בְּנִי וַיֹּאמֶר חַי־יְהוָה אִם־יִפֹּל מִשַּׂעֲרַת בְּנֵךְ אָרְצָה

וַתֹּאמֶר הָאִשָּׁה וְלָמָּה חָשַׁבְתָּה כָּזֹאת עַל־עַם אֱלֹהִים וּמִדַּבֵּר הַמֶּלֶךְ הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה כְּאָשֵׁם לְבִלְתִּי הָשִׁיב הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת־נִדְּחוֹ

 14:13 And the woman 802 said, 559 z8799 Wherefore x4100 then hast thou thought 2803 z8804 such x2063 a thing against x5921 the people 5971 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים? 430 for the king 4428 doth speak 1696 z8693 x4480 this x2088 thing 1697 as one which is faulty, 818 in that the king 4428 doth not x1115 fetch home again 7725 z8687 x853 his banished. 5080 z8737

כִּי־מוֹת נָמוּת וְכַמַּיִם הַנִּגָּרִים אַרְצָה אֲשֶׁר לֹא יֵאָסֵפוּ וְלֹא־יִשָּׂא אֱלֹהִים נֶפֶשׁ וְחָשַׁב מַחֲשָׁבוֹת לְבִלְתִּי יִדַּח מִמֶּנּוּ נִדָּח

וְעַתָּה אֲשֶׁר־בָּאתִי לְדַבֵּר אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲדֹנִי אֶת־הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה כִּי יֵרְאֻנִי הָעָם וַתֹּאמֶר שִׁפְחָתְךָ אֲדַבְּרָה־נָּא אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ אוּלַי יַעֲשֶׂה הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת־דְּבַר אֲמָתוֹ

כִּי יִשְׁמַע הַמֶּלֶךְ לְהַצִּיל אֶת־אֲמָתוֹ מִכַּף הָאִישׁ לְהַשְׁמִיד אֹתִי וְאֶת־בְּנִי יַחַד מִנַּחֲלַת אֱלֹהִים

 14:17 Then thine handmaid 8198 said, 559 z8799 The word 1697 of my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן 113 the king 4428 shall now x4994 be x1961 comfortable: 4496 for x3588 as an angel 4397 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים, 430 so x3651 [is] my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן 113 the king 4428 to discern 8085 z8800 good 2896 and bad: 7451 therefore Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 thy ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 will be x1961 with x5973 thee.

 14:18 Then the king 4428 answered 6030 z8799 and said 559 z8799 unto x413 the woman, 802 Hide 3582 z8762 not x408 from x4480 me, I pray thee, x4994 the thing 1697 that x834 I x595 shall ask 7592 z8802 thee. And the woman 802 said, 559 z8799 Let my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן 113 the king 4428 now x4994 speak. 1696 z8762

 14:21 ¶ And the king 4428 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Yô´äv יוֹאָב, 3097 Behold x2009 now, x4994 I have done 6213 z8804 x853 this x2088 thing: 1697 go y3212 z8798 x1980 therefore, bring 7725 z0 x853 the young man 5288 ´Avšälôm אַבשָׁלוֹם 53 again. y7725 z8685

וַיִּפֹּל יוֹאָב אֶל־פָּנָיו אַרְצָה וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ וַיְבָרֶךְ אֶת־הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיֹּאמֶר יוֹאָב הַיּוֹם יָדַע עַבְדְּךָ כִּי־מָצָאתִי חֵן בְּעֵינֶיךָ אֲדֹנִי הַמֶּלֶךְ אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת־דְּבַר *עַבְדּוֹ [עַבְדֶּךָ]

 14:22 And Yô´äv יוֹאָב 3097 fell 5307 z8799 to the ground 776 on x413 his face, 6440 and bowed y7812 z8691 himself, x7812 and thanked 1288 z8762 x853 the king: 4428 and Yô´äv יוֹאָב 3097 said, 559 z8799 To day 3117 thy servant 5650 knoweth 3045 z8804 that x3588 I have found 4672 z8804 grace 2580 in thy sight, 5869 my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן, 113 O king, 4428 in that x834 the king 4428 hath fulfilled 6213 z8804 x853 the request 1697 of his servant. 5650

וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ יִסֹּב אֶל־בֵּיתוֹ וּפָנַי לֹא יִרְאֶה וַיִּסֹּב אַבְשָׁלוֹם אֶל־בֵּיתוֹ וּפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ לֹא רָאָה ס

וּכְאַבְשָׁלוֹם לֹא־הָיָה אִישׁ־יָפֶה בְּכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל לְהַלֵּל מְאֹד מִכַּף רַגְלוֹ וְעַד קָדְקֳדוֹ לֹא־הָיָה בוֹ מוּם

 14:25 ûkh'av'shälôm lo-häyäh iysh-yäfeh B'khäl-yis'räël l'haLël m'od miKaf rag'lô w'ad qäd'qódô lo-häyäh vô mûm

 14:25 ¶ But in all x3605 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 there was x1961 none 376 x3808 to be so much 3966 praised 1984 z8763 as ´Avšälôm אַבשָׁלוֹם 53 for his beauty: 3303 from the sole 3709 x4480 of his foot 7272 even to x5704 the crown of his head 6936 there was x1961 no x3808 blemish 3971 in him.

וּבְגַלְּחוֹ אֶת־רֹאשׁוֹ וְהָיָה מִקֵּץ יָמִים לַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר יְגַלֵּחַ כִּי־כָבֵד עָלָיו וְגִלְּחוֹ וְשָׁקַל אֶת־שְׂעַר רֹאשׁוֹ מָאתַיִם שְׁקָלִים בְּאֶבֶן הַמֶּלֶךְ

 14:26 ûv'gaL'chô et-roshô w'häyäh miQëtz yämiym laYämiym ásher y'gaLëªch Kiy-khävëd äläyw w'giL'chô w'shäqal et-s'ar roshô mätayim sh'qäliym B'even haMelekh'

 14:27 And unto ´Avšälôm אַבשָׁלוֹם 53 there were born 3205 z8735 three 7969 sons, 1121 and one 259 daughter, 1323 whose name 8034 [was] Tämär תָּמָר: 8559 she x1931 was x1961 a woman 802 of a fair 3303 countenance. 4758

וַיִּשְׁלַח אַבְשָׁלוֹם אֶל־יוֹאָב לִשְׁלֹחַ אֹתוֹ אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ וְלֹא אָבָה לָבוֹא אֵלָיו וַיִּשְׁלַח עוֹד שֵׁנִית וְלֹא אָבָה לָבוֹא

 14:29 Therefore ´Avšälôm אַבשָׁלוֹם 53 sent 7971 z8799 for x413 Yô´äv יוֹאָב, 3097 to have sent 7971 z8800 him to x413 the king; 4428 but he would 14 z8804 not x3808 come 935 z8800 to x413 him: and when he sent x7971 again y7971 z8799 x5750 the second time, 8145 he would 14 z8804 not x3808 come. 935 z8800

וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל־עֲבָדָיו רְאוּ חֶלְקַת יוֹאָב אֶל־יָדִי וְלוֹ־שָׁם שְׂעֹרִים לְכוּ *וְהוֹצִּתֵיהָ [וְהַצִּיתוּהָ] בָאֵשׁ וַיַּצִּתוּ עַבְדֵי אַבְשָׁלוֹם אֶת־הַחֶלְקָה בָּאֵשׁ פ

 14:30 waYomer el-ávädäyw r'û chel'qat yôäv el-yädiy w'lô-shäm s'oriym l'khû *w'hôTZitëyhä [w'haTZiytûhä] väësh waYaTZitû av'dëy av'shälôm et-hachel'qäh Bäësh f

 14:30 Therefore he said 559 z8799 unto x413 his servants, 5650 See, 7200 z8798 Yô´äv's יוֹאָב 3097 field 2513 is near 413 mine, 3027 and he hath barley 8184 there; x8033 go y3212 z8798 x1980 and set 3341 z8685 it on fire. 784 And ´Avšälôm's אַבשָׁלוֹם 53 servants 5650 set 3341 z8686 x853 the field 2513 on fire. 784

וַיָּקָם יוֹאָב וַיָּבֹא אֶל־אַבְשָׁלוֹם הַבָּיְתָה וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו לָמָּה הִצִּיתוּ עֲבָדֶךָ אֶת־הַחֶלְקָה אֲשֶׁר־לִי בָּאֵשׁ

 14:31 Then Yô´äv יוֹאָב 3097 arose, 6965 z8799 and came 935 z8799 to x413 ´Avšälôm אַבשָׁלוֹם 53 unto [his] house, 1004 and said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Wherefore x4100 have thy servants 5650 set 3341 z8689 x853 my field 2513 on fire? 784

וַיֹּאמֶר אַבְשָׁלוֹם אֶל־יוֹאָב הִנֵּה שָׁלַחְתִּי אֵלֶיךָ לֵאמֹר בֹּא הֵנָּה וְאֶשְׁלְחָה אֹתְךָ אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ לֵאמֹר לָמָּה בָּאתִי מִגְּשׁוּר טוֹב לִי עֹד אֲנִי־שָׁם וְעַתָּה אֶרְאֶה פְּנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְאִם־יֶשׁ־בִּי עָוֹן וֶהֱמִתָנִי

 14:32 And ´Avšälôm אַבשָׁלוֹם 53 answered 559 z8799 x413 Yô´äv יוֹאָב, 3097 Behold, x2009 I sent 7971 z8804 unto x413 thee, saying, 559 z8800 Come 935 z8798 hither, x2008 that I may send 7971 z8799 thee to x413 the king, 4428 to say, 559 z8800 Wherefore x4100 am I x589 come 935 z8804 from Gæšûr גְּשׁוּר? 1650 x4480 [it had been] good 2896 for me [to have been] there x8033 still: x5750 now x6258 therefore let me see 7200 z8799 the king's 4428 face; 6440 and if x518 there be 3426 [any] iniquity 5771 in me, let him kill 4191 z8689 me.

וַיָּבֹא יוֹאָב אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיַּגֶּד־לוֹ וַיִּקְרָא אֶל־אַבְשָׁלוֹם וַיָּבֹא אֶל־הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ לוֹ עַל־אַפָּיו אַרְצָה לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיִּשַּׁק הַמֶּלֶךְ לְאַבְשָׁלוֹם פ

 14:33 waYävo yôäv el-haMelekh' waYaGed-lô waYiq'rä el-av'shälôm waYävo el-haMelekh' waYish'Tachû lô al-aPäyw ar'tzäh lif'nëy haMelekh' waYiSHaq haMelekh' l'av'shälôm f

 14:33 So Yô´äv יוֹאָב 3097 came 935 z8799 to x413 the king, 4428 and told 5046 z8686 him: and when he had called 7121 z8799 for x413 ´Avšälôm אַבשָׁלוֹם, 53 he came 935 z8799 to x413 the king, 4428 and bowed 7812 z8691 himself on x5921 his face 639 to the ground 776 before 6440 the king: 4428 and the king 4428 kissed 5401 z8799 ´Avšälôm אַבשָׁלוֹם. 53
