וְעַתָּה תֶּחֱזַקְנָה יְדֵיכֶם וִהְיוּ לִבְנֵי־חַיִל כִּי־מֵת אֲדֹנֵיכֶם שָׁאוּל וְגַם־אֹתִי מָשְׁחוּ בֵית־יְהוּדָה לְמֶלֶךְ עֲלֵיהֶם פ

וְאַבְנֵר בֶּן־נֵר שַׂר־צָבָא אֲשֶׁר לְשָׁאוּל לָקַח אֶת־אִישׁ בֹּשֶׁת בֶּן־שָׁאוּל וַיַּעֲבִרֵהוּ מַחֲנָיִם

 2:13 And Yô´äv יוֹאָב 3097 the son 1121 of Xærûyà צְרוּיָה, 6870 and the servants 5650 of Däwiđ דָּוִד, 1732 went out, 3318 z8804 and met 6298 z8799 together 3162 by x5921 the pool 1295 of Giv`ôn גִּבעוֹן: 1391 and they sat down, 3427 z8799 the one x428 on the one side x4480 x2088 of x5921 the pool, 1295 and the other x428 on the other side x4480 x2088 of x5921 the pool. 1295

וַיֹּאמֶר אַבְנֵר אֶל־יוֹאָב יָקוּמוּ נָא הַנְּעָרִים וִישַׂחֲקוּ לְפָנֵינוּ וַיֹּאמֶר יוֹאָב יָקֻמוּ

 2:15 waYäqumû waYaav'rû v'miš'Pär sh'nëym äsär l'vin'yämin ûl'iysh Boshet Ben-shäûl ûsh'nëym äsär mëav'dëy däwid

 2:15 Then there arose 6965 z8799 and went over 5674 z8799 by number 4557 twelve 8147 6240 of Binyämîn בִּניָמִין, 1144 which [pertained] to ´Îš Böšeŧ אִישׁ־בֹּשֶׁת 378 the son 1121 of Šä´ûl שָׁאוּל, 7586 and twelve 8147 6240 of the servants 5650 x4480 of Däwiđ דָּוִד. 1732

וַיַּחֲזִקוּ אִישׁ בְּרֹאשׁ רֵעֵהוּ וְחַרְבּוֹ בְּצַד רֵעֵהוּ וַיִּפְּלוּ יַחְדָּו וַיִּקְרָא לַמָּקוֹם הַהוּא חֶלְקַת הַצֻּרִים אֲשֶׁר בְּגִבְעוֹן

וַיִּפֶן אַבְנֵר אַחֲרָיו וַיֹּאמֶר הַאַתָּה זֶה עֲשָׂהאֵל וַיֹּאמֶר אָנֹכִי

וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ אַבְנֵר נְטֵה לְךָ עַל־יְמִינְךָ אוֹ עַל־שְׂמֹאלֶךָ וֶאֱחֹז לְךָ אֶחָד מֵהַנְּעָרִים וְקַח־לְךָ אֶת־חֲלִצָתוֹ וְלֹא־אָבָה עֲשָׂהאֵל לָסוּר מֵאַחֲרָיו

 2:21 And ´Avnër אַבנֵר 74 said 559 z8799 to him, Turn thee aside 5186 z8798 to x5921 thy right x3225 hand y3225 or x176 to x5921 thy left, 8040 and lay thee hold 270 z8798 on one 259 of the young men, 5288 x4480 and take 3947 z8798 thee x853 his armour. 2488 But `Áŝà ´Ël עֲשָׂה־אֵל 6214 would 14 z8804 not x3808 turn aside 5493 z8800 from following 310 x4480 of him.

 2:22 And ´Avnër אַבנֵר 74 said 559 z8800 again 3254 z8686 to x413 `Áŝà ´Ël עֲשָׂה־אֵל, 6214 Turn thee aside 5493 z8798 from following 310 x4480 me: wherefore x4100 should I smite 5221 z8686 thee to the ground? 776 how x349 then should I hold up 5375 z8799 my face 6440 to x413 Yô´äv יוֹאָב 3097 thy brother? 251

וַיְמָאֵן לָסוּר וַיַּכֵּהוּ אַבְנֵר בְּאַחֲרֵי הַחֲנִית אֶל־הַחֹמֶשׁ וַתֵּצֵא הַחֲנִית מֵאַחֲרָיו וַיִּפָּל־שָׁם וַיָּמָת *תַּחַתוֹ [תַּחְתָּיו] וַיְהִי כָּל־הַבָּא אֶל־הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר־נָפַל שָׁם עֲשָׂהאֵל וַיָּמֹת וַיַּעֲמֹדוּ

וַיִּקְרָא אַבְנֵר אֶל־יוֹאָב וַיֹּאמֶר הֲלָנֶצַח תֹּאכַל חֶרֶב הֲלוֹא יָדַעְתָּה כִּי־מָרָה תִהְיֶה בָּאַחֲרוֹנָה וְעַד־מָתַי לֹא־תֹאמַר לָעָם לָשׁוּב מֵאַחֲרֵי אֲחֵיהֶם

 2:26 Then ´Avnër אַבנֵר 74 called 7121 z8799 to x413 Yô´äv יוֹאָב, 3097 and said, 559 z8799 Shall the sword 2719 devour 398 z8799 for ever? 5331 knowest 3045 z8804 thou not x3808 that x3588 it will be x1961 bitterness 4751 in the latter end? 314 how long x5704 shall it be then, ere x3808 thou bid 559 z8799 the people 5971 return 7725 z8800 from following 310 x4480 their brethren? 251

וַיֹּאמֶר יוֹאָב חַי הָאֱלֹהִים כִּי לוּלֵא דִּבַּרְתָּ כִּי אָז מֵהַבֹּקֶר נַעֲלָה הָעָם אִישׁ מֵאַחֲרֵי אָחִיו

 2:27 And Yô´äv יוֹאָב 3097 said, 559 z8799 [As] ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 liveth, 2416 unless 3884 x3588 thou hadst spoken, 1696 z8765 surely x3588 then x227 in the morning 1242 the people 5971 had gone up 5927 z8738 every one 376 from following 310 x4480 his brother. 251

וַיִּתְקַע יוֹאָב בַּשּׁוֹפָר וַיַּעַמְדוּ כָּל־הָעָם וְלֹא־יִרְדְּפוּ עוֹד אַחֲרֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא־יָסְפוּ עוֹד לְהִלָּחֵם

 2:28 waYit'qa yôäv BaSHôfär waYaam'dû Käl-hääm w'lo-yir'D'fû ôd achárëy yis'räël w'lo-yäš'fû ôd l'hiLächëm

וְאַבְנֵר וַאֲנָשָׁיו הָלְכוּ בָּעֲרָבָה כֹּל הַלַּיְלָה הַהוּא וַיַּעַבְרוּ אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּן וַיֵּלְכוּ כָּל־הַבִּתְרוֹן וַיָּבֹאוּ מַחֲנָיִם

 2:30 And Yô´äv יוֹאָב 3097 returned 7725 z8804 from following 310 x4480 ´Avnër אַבנֵר: 74 and when he had gathered y6908 z0 all the people y5971 together, 6908 z8799 x853 x3605 x5971 there lacked 6485 z8735 of Däwiđ's דָּוִד y1732 servants 5650 x4480 x1732 nineteen 8672 6240 men 376 and `Áŝà ´Ël עֲשָׂה־אֵל. 6214

וְעַבְדֵי דָוִד הִכּוּ מִבִּנְיָמִן וּבְאַנְשֵׁי אַבְנֵר שְׁלֹשׁ־מֵאוֹת וְשִׁשִּׁים אִישׁ מֵתוּ

 2:31 w'av'dëy däwid hiKû miBin'yämin ûv'an'shëy av'nër sh'losh-mëôt w'shiSHiym iysh mëtû

 2:31 But the servants 5650 of Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 had smitten 5221 z8689 of Binyämîn בִּניָמִין, 1144 x4480 and of ´Avnër's אַבנֵר 74 men, y582 x4480 x376 [so that] three 7969 hundred 3967 and threescore 8346 men 376 died. 4191 z8804

וַיִּשְׂאוּ אֶת־עֲשָׂהאֵל וַיִּקְבְּרֻהוּ בְּקֶבֶר אָבִיו אֲשֶׁר בֵּית לָחֶם וַיֵּלְכוּ כָל־הַלַּיְלָה יוֹאָב וַאֲנָשָׁיו וַיֵּאֹר לָהֶם בְּחֶבְרוֹן

 2:32 waYis'û et-ásähël waYiq'B'ruhû B'qever äviyw ásher Bëyt lächem waYël'khû khäl-haLay'läh yôäv waánäshäyw waYëor lähem B'chev'rôn

 2:32 ¶ And they took up 5375 z8799 x853 `Áŝà ´Ël עֲשָׂה־אֵל, 6214 and buried 6912 z8799 him in the sepulchre 6913 of his father, 1 which x834 [was in] Bêŧ Läçem בֵּית־לָחֶם. 1035 And Yô´äv יוֹאָב 3097 and his men y582 x376 went y3212 z8799 x1980 all x3605 night, 3915 and they came to Çevrôn חֶברוֹן 2275 at break of day. 215 z8735
