וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֱלֹהֵי הָעִבְרִים נִקְרָא עָלֵינוּ נֵלֲכָה נָּא דֶּרֶךְ שְׁלֹשֶׁת יָמִים בַּמִּדְבָּר וְנִזְבְּחָה לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ פֶּן־יִפְגָּעֵנוּ בַּדֶּבֶר אוֹ בֶחָרֶב

וַיְצַו פַּרְעֹה בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא אֶת־הַנֹּגְשִׂים בָּעָם וְאֶת־שֹׁטְרָיו לֵאמֹר

לֹא תֹאסִפוּן לָתֵת תֶּבֶן לָעָם לִלְבֹּן הַלְּבֵנִים כִּתְמוֹל שִׁלְשֹׁם הֵם יֵלְכוּ וְקֹשְׁשׁוּ לָהֶם תֶּבֶן

וְאֶת־מַתְכֹּנֶת הַלְּבֵנִים אֲשֶׁר הֵם עֹשִׂים תְּמוֹל שִׁלְשֹׁם תָּשִׂימוּ עֲלֵיהֶם לֹא תִגְרְעוּ מִמֶּנּוּ כִּי־נִרְפִּים הֵם עַל־כֵּן הֵם צֹעֲקִים לֵאמֹר נֵלְכָה נִזְבְּחָה לֵאלֹהֵינוּ

אַתֶּם לְכוּ קְחוּ לָכֶם תֶּבֶן מֵאֲשֶׁר תִּמְצָאוּ כִּי אֵין נִגְרָע מֵעֲבֹדַתְכֶם דָּבָר

וַיָּפֶץ הָעָם בְּכָל־אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם לְקֹשֵׁשׁ קַשׁ לַתֶּבֶן

 5:12 waYäfetz hääm B'khäl-eretz mitz'räyim l'qoshësh qash laTeven

 5:12 So the people 5971 were scattered abroad 6327 z8686 throughout all x3605 the land 776 of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם 4714 to gather 7197 z8780 stubble 7179 instead of straw. 8401

וְהַנֹּגְשִׂים אָצִים לֵאמֹר כַּלּוּ מַעֲשֵׂיכֶם דְּבַר־יוֹם בְּיוֹמוֹ כַּאֲשֶׁר בִּהְיוֹת הַתֶּבֶן

וַיָּבֹאוּ שֹׁטְרֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּצְעֲקוּ אֶל־פַּרְעֹה לֵאמֹר לָמָּה תַעֲשֶׂה כֹה לַעֲבָדֶיךָ

 5:15 waYävoû shoţ'rëy B'nëy yis'räël waYitz'áqû el-Par'oh lëmor läMäh taáseh khoh laávädeykhä

 5:15 ¶ Then the officers 7860 z8802 of the children 1121 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 came 935 z8799 and cried 6817 z8799 unto x413 Par`ò פַּרעֹה, 6547 saying, 559 z8800 Wherefore x4100 dealest 6213 z8799 thou thus x3541 with thy servants? 5650

תֶּבֶן אֵין נִתָּן לַעֲבָדֶיךָ וּלְבֵנִים אֹמְרִים לָנוּ עֲשׂוּ וְהִנֵּה עֲבָדֶיךָ מֻכִּים וְחָטָאת עַמֶּךָ

 5:16 Teven ëyn niTän laávädeykhä ûl'vëniym om'riym länû ásû w'hiNëh ávädeykhä muKiym w'chäţät aMekhä

 5:16 There is no x369 straw 8401 given 5414 z8737 unto thy servants, 5650 and they say 559 z8802 to us, Make 6213 z8798 brick: 3843 and, behold, x2009 thy servants 5650 [are] beaten; 5221 z8716 but the fault 2398 z8804 [is] in thine own people. 5971

וַיֹּאמֶר נִרְפִּים אַתֶּם נִרְפִּים עַל־כֵּן אַתֶּם אֹמְרִים נֵלְכָה נִזְבְּחָה לַיהוָה

וְעַתָּה לְכוּ עִבְדוּ וְתֶבֶן לֹא־יִנָּתֵן לָכֶם וְתֹכֶן לְבֵנִים תִּתֵּנּוּ

 5:18 w'aTäh l'khû iv'dû w'teven lo-yiNätën läkhem w'tokhen l'vëniym TiTëNû

וַיִּרְאוּ שֹׁטְרֵי בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֹתָם בְּרָע לֵאמֹר לֹא־תִגְרְעוּ מִלִּבְנֵיכֶם דְּבַר־יוֹם בְּיוֹמוֹ

 5:19 waYir'û shoţ'rëy v'nëy-yis'räël otäm B'rä lëmor lo-tig'r'û miLiv'nëykhem D'var-yôm B'yômô

 5:19 And the officers 7860 z8802 of the children 1121 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 did see 7200 z8799 [that] they [were] in evil 7451 [case], after it was said, 559 z8800 Ye shall not x3808 minish 1639 z8799 [ought] from your bricks 3843 x4480 of your daily 3117 task. 1697

וַיִּפְגְּעוּ אֶת־מֹשֶׁה וְאֶת־אַהֲרֹן נִצָּבִים לִקְרָאתָם בְּצֵאתָם מֵאֵת פַּרְעֹה

 5:20 waYif'G'û et-mosheh w'et-aháron niTZäviym liq'rätäm B'tzëtäm mëët Par'oh

 5:20 ¶ And they met 6293 z8799 x853 Möšè מֹשֶׁה 4872 and ´Ahárön אַהֲרֹן, 175 who stood 5324 z8737 in the way, 7125 z8800 as they came forth 3318 z8800 from x4480 x854 Par`ò פַּרעֹה: 6547

וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֲלֵהֶם יֵרֶא יְהוָה עֲלֵיכֶם וְיִשְׁפֹּט אֲשֶׁר הִבְאַשְׁתֶּם אֶת־רֵיחֵנוּ בְּעֵינֵי פַרְעֹה וּבְעֵינֵי עֲבָדָיו לָתֶת־חֶרֶב בְּיָדָם לְהָרְגֵנוּ

 5:21 And they said 559 z8799 unto x413 them, Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 look 7200 z8799 upon x5921 you, and judge; 8199 z8799 because x834 ye have made x853 our savour 7381 to be abhorred 887 z8689 in the eyes 5869 of Par`ò פַּרעֹה, 6547 and in the eyes 5869 of his servants, 5650 to put 5414 z8800 a sword 2719 in their hand 3027 to slay 2026 z8800 us.

וַיָּשָׁב מֹשֶׁה אֶל־יְהוָה וַיֹּאמַר אֲדֹנָי לָמָה הֲרֵעֹתָה לָעָם הַזֶּה לָמָּה זֶּה שְׁלַחְתָּנִי

 5:22 And Möšè מֹשֶׁה 4872 returned 7725 z8799 unto x413 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 and said, 559 z8799 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 136 wherefore x4100 hast thou [so] evil entreated 7489 z8689 this x2088 people? 5971 why x4100 [is] it x2088 [that] thou hast sent 7971 z8804 me?

וּמֵאָז בָּאתִי אֶל־פַּרְעֹה לְדַבֵּר בִּשְׁמֶךָ הֵרַע לָעָם הַזֶּה וְהַצֵּל לֹא־הִצַּלְתָּ אֶת־עַמֶּךָ

 5:23 ûmëäz Bätiy el-Par'oh l'daBër Bish'mekhä hëra lääm haZeh w'haTZël lo-hiTZal'Tä et-aMekhä
