Hosea 14

1 An exhortation to repentance. 4 A promise of God's blessing.

 14:1 Return 7725, O Israel 3478, to the LORD 3068 your God 430, For you have stumbled 3782 because of your iniquity 5771.

 14:2 Take 3947 words 1697 with you and return 7725 to the LORD 3068. Say 559 to Him, “Take 5375 away all 3605 iniquity 5771 And receive 3947 [us] graciously 2896b, That we may present 7999a the fruit 6499 of our lips 8193.

 14:3 “Assyria 804b will not save 3467 us, We will not ride 7392 on horses 5483b; Nor 3808 will we say 559 again 5750, ‘Our god 430,’ To the work 4639 of our hands 3027; For in You the orphan 3490 finds 7355 mercy 7355.”

 14:4 ¶ I will heal 7495 their apostasy 4878, I will love 157 them freely 5071, For My anger 639 has turned 7725 away 7725 from them.

 14:5 I will be like the dew 2919 to Israel 3478; He will blossom 6524a like the lily 7799, And he will take 5221 root 8328 like [the cedars of] Lebanon 3844.

 14:6 His shoots 3127 will sprout 1980, And his beauty 1935 will be like the olive 2132 tree 2132 And his fragrance 7381b like [the cedars of] Lebanon 3844.

 14:7 Those who live 3427 in his shadow 6738 Will again 7725 raise 2421a grain 1715, And they will blossom 6524a like the vine 1612. His renown 2143 [will be] like the wine 3196 of Lebanon 3844.

 14:8 ¶ O Ephraim 669, what 4100 more 5750 have I to do with idols 6091? It is I who answer 6030a and look 7789 after you. I am like a luxuriant 7488 cypress 1265; From Me comes 4672 your fruit 6529.

 14:9 ¶ Whoever 4310 is wise 2450, let him understand 995 these 428 things 428; [Whoever] is discerning 995, let him know 3045 them. For the ways 1870 of the LORD 3068 are right 3477, And the righteous 6662 will walk 1980 in them, But transgressors 6586 will stumble 3782 in them.
