1 Eight of the forty cities given by lot, out of the other tribes, unto the Levites. 43 God gave the land, and rest unto the Israelites, according to his promise.
21:1
Then the heads 7218 of households 1 of the Levites 3881 approached 5066 Eleazar 499 the priest 3548, and Joshua 3091 the son 1121 of Nun 5126, and the heads 7218 of households 1 of the tribes 4294 of the sons 1121 of Israel 3478.

They spoke 1696 to them at Shiloh 7887 in the land 776 of Canaan 3667a, saying 559, “The LORD 3068 commanded 6680 through 3027 Moses 4872 to give 5414 us cities 5892b to live 3427 in, with their pasture 4054 lands 4054 for our cattle 929.”

¶ The rest 3498 of the sons 1121 of Kohath 6955 received ten 6235 cities 5892b by lot 1486 from the families 4940 of the tribe 4294 of Ephraim 669 and from the tribe 4294 of Dan 1835 and from the half-tribe 2677 4294 of Manasseh 4519.

¶ The sons 1121 of Gershon 1648 received thirteen 7969 6240 cities 5892b by lot 1486 from the families 4940 of the tribe 4294 of Issachar 3485 and from the tribe 4294 of Asher 836 and from the tribe 4294 of Naphtali 5321 and from the half-tribe 2677 4294 of Manasseh 4519 in Bashan 1316.

¶ The sons 1121 of Merari 4847 according to their families 4940 received twelve 8147 6240 cities 5892b from the tribe 4294 of Reuben 7205 and from the tribe 4294 of Gad 1410 and from the tribe 4294 of Zebulun 2074.

¶ Now the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 gave 5414 by lot 1486 to the Levites 3881 these 428 cities 5892b with their pasture 4054 lands 4054, as the LORD 3068 had commanded 6680 through 3027 Moses 4872.

¶ So the LORD 3068 gave 5414 Israel 3478 all 3605 the land 776 which 834 He had sworn 7650 to give 5414 to their fathers 1, and they possessed 3423 it and lived 3427 in it.
