 11:1 ¶ And when they draw nigh unto Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth two of his disciples,

 11:1 ¶ Andº whenº they came nighºº toº Jerusalem,º untoº Bethphageº andº Bethany,º atº theº mountº of Olives,º he sendeth forthºº twoº of hisºº disciples,º

 11:2 and saith unto them, Go your way into the village that is over against you: and straightway as ye enter into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon no man ever yet sat; loose him, and bring him.

 11:2 Andº saithºº unto them,º Go your wayºº intoº theº villageº over againstº you:º andº as soon asº ye be enteredºº intoº it,º ye shall findºº a coltº tied,ºº whereonºº neverº manº sat;ºº looseºº him,º and bringºº [him].

 11:3 And if any one say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye, The Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him back hither.

 11:3 Andº ifº any manº sayºº unto you,º Whyº doº yeºº this?º sayº yeºº thatº theº Lordº hathºº needº of him;º andº straightwayº he will sendºº himº hither.º

 11:4 And they went away, and found a colt tied at the door without in the open street; and they loose him.

 11:4 Andº they went their way,ºº andº foundºº theº coltº tiedºº byº theº doorº withoutº inº a place where two ways met;º andº they looseºº him.º

 11:5 And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?

 11:5 Andº certainº of themº that stoodºº thereº saidºº unto them,º Whatº doº ye,ºº loosingºº theº colt?º

 11:6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had said: and they let them go.

 11:6 Andº theyº saidºº unto themº even asº Jesusº had commanded:ºº andº they letºº themº go.ººº

 11:7 And they bring the colt unto Jesus, and cast on him their garments; and he sat upon him.

 11:7 Andº they broughtºº theº coltº toº Jesus,º andº castºº theirºº garmentsº onºº him;º andº he satºº uponº him.º

 11:8 And many spread their garments upon the way; and others branches, which they had cut from the fields.

 11:8 Andº manyº spreadºº theirºº garmentsº inº theº way:º andº othersº cut downºº branchesº offº theº trees,º andº strawedºº [them] inº theº way.º

 11:9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, Hosanna; Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord:

 11:9 Andº they that went before,ºº andº they that followed,ºº cried,ºº saying,ºº Hosanna;º Blessedºº [is] he that comethºº inº the nameº of the Lord:º

 11:10 Blessed [is] the kingdom that cometh, [the kingdom] of our father David: Hosanna in the highest.

 11:10 Blessedºº [be] theº kingdomº of ourº fatherº David,º that comethºº inº the nameº of the Lord:º Hosannaº inº theº highest.º

 11:11 And he entered into Jerusalem, into the temple; and when he had looked round about upon all things, it being now eventide, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

 11:11 Andº Jesusº enteredºº intoº Jerusalem,º andº intoº theº temple:º andº when he had looked round aboutº uponºº all things,º andº nowº theº eventideºº was come,ººº he went outºº untoº Bethanyº withº theº twelve.º

 11:12 ¶ And on the morrow, when they were come out from Bethany, he hungered.

 11:12 ¶ Andº on theº morrow,º when theyº were comeºº fromº Bethany,º he was hungry:ºº

 11:13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for it was not the season of figs.

 11:13 Andº seeingºº a fig treeº afar offº havingºº leaves,º he came,ºº ifº haplyº he might findºº any thingº thereon:ºº andº when he cameºº toº it,º heº foundºº nothingº butº leaves;º forº the timeº of figsº wasºº notº [yet].

 11:14 And he answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit from thee henceforward for ever. And his disciples heard it.

 11:14 Andº Jesusº answeredºº and saidºº unto it,º No manº eatºº fruitº ofº theeº hereafterº forº ever.ºº Andº hisº disciplesº heardºº [it].

 11:15 ¶ And they come to Jerusalem: and he entered into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and them that bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold the doves;

 11:15 ¶ Andº they comeºº toº Jerusalem:º andº Jesusº wentºº intoº theº temple,º and beganºº to cast outºº them that soldºº andº boughtºº inº theº temple,º andº overthrewºº theº tablesº of theº moneychangers,º andº theº seatsº of themº that soldºº doves;º

 11:16 and he would not suffer that any man should carry a vessel through the temple.

 11:16 Andº wouldºº notº sufferºº thatº any manº should carryºº [any] vesselº throughº theº temple.º

 11:17 And he taught, and said unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? but ye have made it a den of robbers.

 11:17 Andº he taught,ºº sayingºº unto them,º Is itºº notº written,ººº Myº houseº shall be calledºº of allº nationsº the houseº of prayer?º butº yeº have madeºº itº a denº of thieves.º

 11:18 And the chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, for all the multitude was astonished at his teaching.

 11:18 Andº theº scribesº andº chief priestsº heardºº [it], andº soughtºº howº they might destroyºº him:º forº they fearedºº him,º becauseº allº theº peopleº was astonishedºº atº hisº doctrine.º

 11:19 And every evening he went forth out of the city.

 11:19 Andº whenº evenº was come,ºº he wentºº outº ofº theº city.º

 11:20 ¶ And as they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away from the roots.

 11:20 ¶ Andº in the morning,º as they passed by,ºº they sawºº theº fig treeº dried upºº fromº the roots.º

 11:21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

 11:21 Andº Peterº calling to remembranceºº saithºº unto him,º Master,º behold,º theº fig treeº whichº thou cursedstºº is withered away.ºº

 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

 11:22 Andº Jesusº answeringºº saithºº unto them,º Haveºº faithº in God.º

 11:23 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith cometh to pass; he shall have it.

 11:23 Forº verilyº I sayºº unto you,º Thatº whosoeverºº shall sayºº unto thisº mountain,º Be thou removed,ºº andº be thou castºº intoº theº sea;º andº shallºº notº doubtºº inº hisºº heart,º butº shall believeºº thatº those things whichº he saithºº shall come to pass;ºº heº shall haveºº whatsoeverºº he saith.ºº

 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

 11:24 Thereforeºº I sayºº unto you,º Whatº thingsº soeverººº ye desire,ºº when ye pray,ºº believeºº thatº ye receiveºº [them], andº yeº shall haveºº [them].

 11:25 And whensoever ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any one; that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

 11:25 Andº whenº ye standºº praying,ºº forgive,ºº ifººº ye haveºº oughtºº againstº any:º thatº yourº Fatherº alsoº whichº is inº heavenº may forgiveºº youº yourº trespasses.º

 11:26 [But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses.]

 11:26 Butº ifº yeº doºº notº forgive,ºº neitherº willºº yourº Fatherº whichº is inº heavenº forgiveºº yourº trespasses.º

 11:27 ¶ And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders;

 11:27 ¶ Andº they comeºº againº toº Jerusalem:º andº as heº was walkingºº inº theº temple,º there comeºº toº himº theº chief priests,º andº theº scribes,º andº theº elders,º

 11:28 and they said unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? or who gave thee this authority to do these things?

 11:28 Andº sayºº unto him,º Byº whatº authorityº doestº thouºº these things?º andº whoº gaveºº theeº thisº authorityº toº doºº these things?º

 11:29 And Jesus said unto them, I will ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

 11:29 Andº Jesusº answeredºº and saidºº unto them,º I willºº alsoº askººº of youº oneº question,º andº answerºº me,º andº I will tellºº youº byº whatº authorityº I doºº these things.º

 11:30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men? answer me.

 11:30 Theº baptismº of John,º wasºº [it] fromº heaven,º orº ofº men?º answerºº me.º

 11:31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; He will say, Why then did ye not believe him?

 11:31 Andº they reasonedºº withº themselves,º saying,ºº Ifº we shall say,ºº Fromº heaven;º he will say,ºº Whyº thenº did yeºº notº believeºº him?º

 11:32 But should we say, From men -- they feared the people: for all verily held John to be a prophet.

 11:32 Butº ifº we shall say,ºº Ofº men;º they fearedºº theº people:º forº allº [men] countedºº John,º thatº he wasºº a prophetº indeed.º

 11:33 And they answered Jesus and say, We know not. And Jesus saith unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

 11:33 Andº they answeredºº and saidºº unto Jesus,º Weºº cannotº tell.ººº Andº Jesusº answeringºº saithºº unto them,º Neitherº do Iº tellºº youº byº whatº authorityº I doºº these things.º
