 12:1 ¶
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your spiritual service. |
|
 12:1 ¶
I beseechºº
youº
therefore,º
brethren,º
byº
theº
merciesº
of God,º
that ye presentºº
yourº
bodiesº
a livingºº
sacrifice,º
holy,º
acceptableº
unto God,º
[which is] yourº
reasonableº
service.º |
 12:2
And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. |
|
 12:2
Andº
beºº
notº
conformedºº
to thisº
world:º
butº
be ye transformedºº
by theº
renewingº
of yourº
mind,º
thatº
yeº
may proveºº
whatº
[is] that good,º
andº
acceptable,º
andº
perfect,º
willº
of God.º |
 12:3
For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but so to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith. |
|
 12:3
Forº
I say,ºº
throughº
theº
graceº
givenºº
unto me,º
to every manº
that isºº
amongº
you,º
notº
to think [of himself] moreº
highlyºº
thanººº
he oughtºº
to think;ºº
butº
to thinkºº
soberly,ººº
according asº
Godº
hath dealtºº
to every manº
the measureº
of faith.º |
 12:4
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office: |
|
 12:4
Forº
asº
we haveºº
manyº
membersº
inº
oneº
body,º
andº
allº
membersº
haveºº
notº
theº
sameº
office:º |
 12:5
so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and severally members one of another. |
|
 12:5
Soº
we,ºº
[being] many,º
areºº
oneº
bodyº
inº
Christ,º
andº
everyº
oneº
membersº
one of another.º |
 12:6
And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, whether prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of our faith; |
|
 12:6
Havingºº
thenº
giftsº
differingº
accordingº
to theº
graceº
that is givenºº
to us,º
whetherº
prophecy,º
[let us prophesy] accordingº
to theº
proportionº
of faith;º |
 12:7
or ministry, [let us give ourselves] to our ministry; or he that teacheth, to his teaching; |
|
 12:7
Orº
ministry,º
[let us wait] onº
[our] ministering:º
orº
he that teacheth,ºº
onº
teaching;º |
 12:8
or he that exhorteth, to his exhorting: he that giveth, [let him do it] with liberality; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness. |
|
 12:8
Orº
he that exhorteth,ºº
onº
exhortation:º
he that giveth,ºº
[let him do it] withº
simplicity;º
he that ruleth,ºº
withº
diligence;º
he that sheweth mercy,ºº
withº
cheerfulness.º |
 12:9
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. |
|
 12:9
[Let] loveº
be without dissimulation.º
Abhorºº
that which is evil;º
cleaveºº
to that which is good.º |
 12:10
In love of the brethren be tenderly affectioned one to another; in honor preferring one another; |
|
 12:10
[Be] kindly affectionedº
one to anotherºº
with brotherly love;º
in honourº
preferringºº
one another;º |
 12:11
in diligence not slothful; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; |
|
 12:11
Notº
slothfulº
in business;º
ferventºº
in spirit;º
servingºº
theº
Lord;º |
 12:12
rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer; |
|
 12:12
Rejoicingºº
in hope;º
patientºº
in tribulation;º
continuing instantºº
in prayer;º |
 12:13
communicating to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality. |
|
 12:13
Distributingºº
to theº
necessityº
of saints;º
givenºº
toº
hospitality.º |
 12:14
Bless them that persecute you; bless, and curse not. |
|
 12:14
Blessºº
them which persecuteºº
you:º
bless,ºº
andº
curseºº
not.º |
 12:15
Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep. |
|
 12:15
Rejoiceºº
withº
them that do rejoice,ºº
andº
weepºº
withº
them that weep.ºº |
 12:16
Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind on high things, but condescend to things that are lowly. Be not wise in your own conceits. |
|
 12:16
[Be] of theº
sameº
mindºº
one toward another.ºº
Mindºº
notº
high things,º
butº
condescendºº
to men of low estate.º
Beºº
notº
wiseº
inº
your own conceits.º |
 12:17
Render to no man evil for evil. Take thought for things honorable in the sight of all men. |
|
 12:17
Recompenseºº
to no manº
evilº
forº
evil.º
Provideºº
things honestº
in the sightº
of allº
men.º |
 12:18
If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men. |
|
 12:18
Ifº
it be possible,º
as much as lieth inº
you,ºº
live peaceablyºº
withº
allº
men.º |
 12:19
Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath [of God]: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord. |
|
 12:19
Dearly beloved,º
avengeºº
notº
yourselves,º
butº
[rather] giveºº
placeº
unto wrath:º
forº
it is written,ºº
Vengeanceº
[is] mine;º
Iº
will repay,ºº
saithºº
the Lord.º |
 12:20
But if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head. |
|
 12:20
Thereforeº
ifº
thineº
enemyº
hunger,ºº
feedºº
him;º
ifº
he thirst,ºº
giveºº
himº
drink:ººº
forº
in soº
doingºº
thou shalt heapºº
coalsº
of fireº
onº
hisºº
head.º |
 12:21
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. |
|
 12:21
Beºº
notº
overcomeºº
ofº
evil,º
butº
overcomeºº
evilº
withº
good.º |
