Yähwè

shall makeºº
bright clouds,º
and giveºº
them showersº
of rain,º
to every oneº
grassº
in the field.º |

10:1 ¶
Ask ye of Yahweh rain in the time of the latter rain; [so] Yahweh shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. |

Forº
the idolsº
have spokenºº
vanity,º
and the divinersºº
have seenºº
a lie,º
and have toldºº
falseº
dreams;º
they comfortºº
in vain:º
thereforeºº
they wentºº
their wayº
asº
a flock,º
they were troubled,ºº
becauseº
[there was] noº
shepherd.ºº |

10:2
For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because [there was] no shepherd. |

Mine angerº
was kindledºº
againstº
the shepherds,ºº
and I punishedººº
the goats:º
forº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
Xævä´ô±
צְבָאוֹתº
hath visitedººº
his flockºº
the houseº
of
Yæhûðà
יְהוּדָה,º
and hath madeºº
them as his goodlyº
horseº
in the battle.º |

10:3
Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for Yahweh Tzevaoth hath visited his flock the house of Yehudah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle. |

Out ofº
him came forthºº
the corner,º
out ofº
him the nail,º
out ofº
him the battleº
bow,º
out ofº
him everyº
oppressorºº
together.º |

Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together. |

10:5 ¶
And they shall beº
as mightyº
[men], which tread downºº
[their enemies] in the mireº
of the streetsº
in the battle:º
and they shall fight,ºº
becauseº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
[is] withº
them, and the ridersºº
on horsesº
shall be confounded.ººº |

10:5 ¶
And they shall be as mighty [men], which tread down [their enemies] in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because Yahweh [is] with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded. |
|
10:6
And I will strengthenººº
the houseº
of
Yæhûðà
יְהוּדָה,º
and I will saveºº
the houseº
of
Yôsëf
יוֹסֵף,º
and I will bring them againº
to placeºº
them; forº
I have mercyºº
uponº
them: and they shall beº
as thoughº
I had notº
cast them off:ºº
forº
Iº
[am]
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
their
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,º
and will hearºº
them. |

10:6
And I will strengthen the house of Yehudah, and I will save the house of Yosef, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I [am] Yahweh their Elohim, and will hear them. |

10:7
And [they of]
´Efrayim
אֶפרַיִםº
shall beº
like a mightyº
[man], and their heartº
shall rejoiceºº
as throughº
wine:º
yea, their childrenº
shall seeºº
[it], and be glad;ºº
their heartº
shall rejoiceºº
in
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

10:7
And [they of] Efrayim shall be like a mighty [man], and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see [it], and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in Yahweh. |

10:8
I will hissºº
for them, and gatherºº
them; forº
I have redeemedºº
them: and they shall increaseºº
asº
they have increased.ºº |

I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased. |

10:9
And I will sowºº
them among the people:º
and they shall rememberºº
me in far countries;º
and they shall liveºº
withº
their children,º
and turn again.ºº |

And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again. |

I will bring them againºº
also out of the landºº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,º
and gatherºº
them out of
´Aššûr
אַשּׁוּר;ºº
and I will bringºº
them intoº
the landº
of
Gil`äð
גִּלעָדº
and
Lævänôn
לְבָנוֹן;º
and [place] shall notº
be foundºº
for them. |

10:10
I will bring them again also out of the land of Mitzrayim, and gather them out of Ashshur; and I will bring them into the land of Gilad and Levanon; and [place] shall not be found for them. |
|
10:11
And he shall passº
throughºº
the seaº
with affliction,º
and shall smiteºº
the wavesº
in the sea,º
and allº
the deepsº
of the riverº
shall dry up:ºº
and the prideº
of
´Aššûr
אַשּׁוּרº
shall be brought down,ºº
and the sceptreº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִםº
shall depart away.ºº |

10:11
And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Ashshur shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Mitzrayim shall depart away. |

10:12
And I will strengthenºº
them in
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
and they shall walk up and downºº
in his name,º
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

10:12
And I will strengthen them in Yahweh; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith Yahweh. |
