Exodus 9

1 The murrain of beasts. 8 The plague of boils and blains. 13 The message about the hail. 22 The plague of hail. 27 Pharaoh sueth to Moses, 35 but yet is hardened.

 9:1 Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Go 935 to Pharaoh 6547 and speak 1696 to him, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, the God 430 of the Hebrews 5680, “Let 7971 My people 5971a go 7971, that they may serve 5647 Me.

 9:2 “For if 518 you refuse 3986 to let 7971 [them] go 7971 and continue 5750 to hold 2388 them,

 9:3 behold 2009, the hand 3027 of the LORD 3068 will come 1961 [with] a very 3966 severe 3515 pestilence 1698 on your livestock 4735 which 834 are in the field 7704, on the horses 5483b, on the donkeys 2543, on the camels 1581, on the herds 1241, and on the flocks 6629.

 9:4 “But the LORD 3068 will make 6395 a distinction 6395 between 996 the livestock 4735 of Israel 3478 and the livestock 4735 of Egypt 4714, so that nothing 3808 1697 will die 4191 of all 3605 that belongs to the sons 1121 of Israel 3478.”’”

 9:5 The LORD 3068 set 7760 a definite 4150 time 4150, saying 559, “Tomorrow 4279 the LORD 3068 will do 6213a this 2088 thing 1697 in the land 776.”

 9:6 So the LORD 3068 did 6213a this 2088 thing 1697 on the next 4283 day 4283, and all 3605 the livestock 4735 of Egypt 4714 died 4191; but of the livestock 4735 of the sons 1121 of Israel 3478, not one 259 died 4191.

 9:7 Pharaoh 6547 sent 7971, and behold 2009, there was not even 5704 one 259 of the livestock 4735 of Israel 3478 dead 4191. But the heart 3820 of Pharaoh 6547 was hardened 3513, and he did not let 7971 the people 5971a go 7971.

 9:8 ¶ Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872 and Aaron 175, “Take 3947 for yourselves handfuls 4393 2651 of soot 6368 from a kiln 3536, and let Moses 4872 throw 2236b it toward the sky 8064 in the sight 5869 of Pharaoh 6547.

 9:9 “It will become 1961 fine dust 80 over 5921 all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714, and will become 1961 boils 7822 breaking 6524b out with sores 76 on man 120 and beast 929 through all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714.”

 9:10 So they took 3947 soot 6368 from a kiln 3536, and stood 5975 before 6440 Pharaoh 6547; and Moses 4872 threw 2236b it toward the sky 8064, and it became 1961 boils 7822 breaking 6524b out with sores 76 on man 120 and beast 929.

 9:11 The magicians 2748 could 3201 not stand 5975 before 6440 Moses 4872 because 4480 6440 of the boils 7822, for the boils 7822 were on the magicians 2748 as well as on all 3605 the Egyptians 4714.

 9:12 And the LORD 3068 hardened 2388 Pharaoh’s 6547 heart 3820, and he did not listen 8085 to them, just 3512c as the LORD 3068 had spoken 1696 to Moses 4872.

 9:13 ¶ Then the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Rise 7925 up early 7925 in the morning 1242 and stand 3320 before 6440 Pharaoh 6547 and say 559 to him, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, the God 430 of the Hebrews 5680, “Let 7971 My people 5971a go 7971, that they may serve 5647 Me.

 9:14 “For this 2088 time 6471 I will send 7971 all 3605 My plagues 4046 on you and your servants 5650 and your people 5971a, so 5668 that you may know 3045 that there 369 is no 369 one 369 like 3644 Me in all 3605 the earth 776.

 9:15 “For [if by] now 6258 I had put 7971 forth 7971 My hand 3027 and struck 5221 you and your people 5971a with pestilence 1698, you would then have been cut 3582 off 3582 from the earth 776.

 9:16 “But, indeed 199, for this 2088 reason 5668 I have allowed you to remain 5975, in order 5668 to show 7200 you My power 3581b and in order 4616 to proclaim 5608 My name 8034 through all 3605 the earth 776.

 9:17 “Still 5750 you exalt 5549 yourself against My people 5971a by not letting 7971 them go 7971.

 9:18 “Behold 2009, about this time 6256 tomorrow 4279, I will send 4305 a very 3966 heavy 3515 hail 1259, such 834 as has not been 1961 [seen] in Egypt 4714 from the day 3117 it was founded 3245 until 5704 now 6258.

 9:19 “Now 6258 therefore send 7971, bring 5756 your livestock 4735 and whatever 3605 834 you have in the field 7704 to safety 5756. Every 3605 man 120 and beast 929 that is found 4672 in the field 7704 and is not brought 622 home 1004, when the hail 1259 comes 3381 down 3381 on them, will die 4191.”’”

 9:20 The one 4480 among the servants 5650 of Pharaoh 6547 who feared 3372a the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 made his servants 5650 and his livestock 4735 flee 5127 into the houses 1004;

 9:21 but he who 834 paid 7760 no 3808 regard 7760 3820 to the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 left 5800a his servants 5650 and his livestock 4735 in the field 7704.

 9:22 ¶ Now the LORD 3068 said 559 to Moses 4872, “Stretch 5186 out your hand 3027 toward 5921 the sky 8064, that hail 1259 may fall 1961 on all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714, on man 120 and on beast 929 and on every 3605 plant 6212a of the field 7704, throughout the land 776 of Egypt 4714.”

 9:23 Moses 4872 stretched 5186 out his staff 4294 toward 5921 the sky 8064, and the LORD 3068 sent 5414 thunder 6963 and hail 1259, and fire 784 ran 1980 down to the earth 776. And the LORD 3068 rained 4305 hail 1259 on the land 776 of Egypt 4714.

 9:24 So there was hail 1259, and fire 784 flashing 3947 continually in the midst 8432 of the hail 1259, very 3966 severe 3515, such 834 as had not been 1961 in all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714 since 3975b it became 1961 a nation 1471.

 9:25 The hail 1259 struck 5221 all 3605 that was in the field 7704 through all 3605 the land 776 of Egypt 4714, both 4480 man 120 and beast 929; the hail 1259 also struck 5221 every 3605 plant 6212a of the field 7704 and shattered 7665 every 3605 tree 6086 of the field 7704.

 9:26 Only 7534 in the land 776 of Goshen 1657, where 834 8033 the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 [were], there was no 3808 hail 1259.

 9:27 ¶ Then Pharaoh 6547 sent 7971 for Moses 4872 and Aaron 175, and said 559 to them, “I have sinned 2398 this 6471 time 6471; the LORD 3068 is the righteous 6662 one 6662, and I and my people 5971a are the wicked 7563 ones 7563.

 9:28 “Make 6279 supplication 6279 to the LORD 3068, for there has been enough 7227a of God’s 430 thunder 6963 and hail 1259; and I will let 7971 you go 7971, and you shall stay 5975 no 3808 longer 3254.”

 9:29 Moses 4872 said 559 to him, “As soon as I go 3318 out of the city 5892b, I will spread 6566 out my hands 3709 to the LORD 3068; the thunder 6963 will cease 2308 and there will be hail 1259 no 3808 longer 5750, that you may know 3045 that the earth 776 is the LORD’S 3068.

 9:30 “But as for you and your servants 5650, I know 3045 that you do not yet 2962 fear 3372a the LORD 3068 God 430.”

 9:31 (Now the flax 6594 and the barley 8184 were ruined 5221, for the barley 8184 was in the ear 24 and the flax 6594 was in bud 1392.

 9:32 But the wheat 2406 and the spelt 3698 were not ruined 5221, for they [ripen] late 648.)

 9:33 So Moses 4872 went 3318 out of the city 5892b from Pharaoh 6547, and spread 6566 out his hands 3709 to the LORD 3068; and the thunder 6963 and the hail 1259 ceased 2308, and rain 4306 no 3808 longer poured 5413 on the earth 776.

 9:34 But when Pharaoh 6547 saw 7200 that the rain 4306 and the hail 1259 and the thunder 6963 had ceased 2308, he sinned 2398 again 3254 and hardened 3513 his heart 3820, he and his servants 5650.

 9:35 Pharaoh’s 6547 heart 3820 was hardened 2388, and he did not let 7971 the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 go 7971, just 3512c as the LORD 3068 had spoken 1696 through 3027 Moses 4872.
